Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker - Full Reaction

We've sure come a long way since number one when I held up the Star Trek sign thinking it was related to Star Wars... There were things I loved in this one and things I am mad/sad about. It felt like a return to the original vibe but with added twists that contradicted previous story lines. Overall, I love all these guys, what an insane universe George Lucas has built! Though this is the last movie, I still have to watch some of the shows that I've heard good things about like the Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. And of course the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show!

Such a romantic! Lol. Love it!

Jerrod Acree

Nice! If you ever make it down these ways I can give you a list of things that you may find fun and interesting to do and see. I worked for Weta Digital for years, many moons ago (got my training on Return of the King) and still have connects in that industry. Regardless, I'll be tuned into your content for as long as you're happy to produce it. Give your sis a high five as well, she is always a welcome addition when she is on!

Jedi Psy

Im so happy you are here, thank you for the kind words!! My mom was a world traveller and always said New Zealand was one of her very favorites, so I have always wanted to go!!

Cassie

Michael! you are right becuase I loved loved LOVED Ted Lasso, I would totally watch it for the channel but I already watched it dangit, maybe the new season. My favorite show of 2020 and beyond

Cassie

I watched felicity!! All of them (except the last two epsiodes, if you know you know) but I had no idea that was Kerry Russell haha how did i not recognize her. I was pretty sure that was Merry from LOTR but didn't want to say it in case i was wrong haha.

Cassie

I haven't, but after seeing him in this I want to watch more of his stuff. I remember he was nominated for something with Scarlett j? Marriage? The one you mentioned sounds very intriguing though!

Cassie

thank you! planning on it!

Cassie

hahahaha ok i have gone back and listened and if you are listening for that it sounds exactly like it haha should have had subs on i guess!

Cassie

im usually very easily entertained, but this one felt slowest to me! I wanted to keep checking my watch!

Cassie

how do you know!?

Cassie

hahaha they made your forget pretty fast you are right. Dangit, i hate how shows are so good at swaying me so quickly.

Cassie

I didn't think about it that way, about undermining the heroes and wins in ep 4, 5, 6, oh man, i don't like that haha

Cassie

me too! ;)

Cassie

TROS is a product of TLJ's horrid writing. That and with Disney and KK interfering with JJ forcing him down a path to try and appease people who hate TLJ and those who loved TLJ. They bought him out of his contract with Paramount just so he could come back and try to fix the mess RJ left the trilogy in after TLJ, they should have let him do his job. I would have loved to see JJ's original vision for this movie. based on the renders I have seen, it would have been way more interesting. JJ was in a no win situation with this film. If he didn't retcon enough of TLJ, haters of that film would hate this movie also. on the flip side, If he retconned any of TLJ, people who loved that film would hate this movie. IMO, he didn't retcon enough of it but probably because Disney wouldn't let him.

Better than Episode I and II

granny_goodness

As a Star Trek fan I think what Cassie should do is take a poll of which Star Trek episodes to watch then just watch the Star Trek movies in order of release. This makes the most sense. After she watches "Undiscovered Country" she can do the same for Star Trek TNG, then follow with "Generations" onward.

Wil Olandria

I strongly second Galaxy Quest. Although I believe it would be best for her to familiarize herself with Star Trek and the characters there before watching GQ.

Damon

I liked this a lot more watching a long with you than when I went to see it in theaters. Also, you've finished star wars, so I hope you still plan on doing Galaxy Quest!

Yaisu

Personally, I think ST noobs should start with the original movies. I think the Kelvin trilogy in particular would be more satisfying, more meaningful (and just more comprehensible) if the original movies are watched first.

Stick Figure Studios

The Schwartz!!!

Stick Figure Studios

TROS is definitely one of the worst SW movies ever made, but not even close to being one of the all-time worst films ever made. Also, I agree with Patrick: TLJ is actually good.

Stick Figure Studios

I found the JJ movies to be the most Star Wars-esque.

Mark M

I agree with the above. As a ST noob myself, I found the Abrams reboot to be the most noob friendly and I think it would be a great starting point for Cassie to dip her toes in the ST universe. It explains the Kirk backstory very well and does a good job with all the other characters and their development.

Aaron Mann

@Mike You should check out the episode “Space Seed”. “The Wrath of Khan” was essentially a sequel to that episode. You’ll see why Khan wanted revenge so badly, barring the exposition in the movie. Khan was played by the same actor.

Mr. Writhms

I never watched the '60s show, and I followed along just fine watching Wrath of Khan. edit- Plus the new movies are the least Star Trek-y movies.

Mike Lemon

From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) Cassie has never watched any Star Trek. The reboot movies are an introduction to the original characters. “Wrath of Khan” expects you to already know who all the characters are, and know the old 1960s TV episode “Space Seed” it refers. For new Star Trek watchers, I think the JJ. Abrams reboot is the best bet, without her having to go back and watch hours of the old TV show. And I agree with "Voyager".

Mr. Writhms

I think she would enjoy voyager. And if we are ruining things at least have her watch Wrath of Khan first

GamerGal8684

The towels are a lie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLvBCR1ZOVo

Mike Lemon

Speaking of Star Trek... 😉 How about the reboot/remake trilogy? (A.K.A. the Kelvin timeline trilogy to the Trek-geeks) "Star Trek" (2009) "Star Trek Into Darkness" (2013) "Star Trek Beyond" (2016)

Mr. Writhms

No, TLJ is pretty good.

Patrick Flanagan

I found your channel from you watching the OT trilogy and instantly became a fan. Joined the Patreon soon after and have loved your channel from the start. Watching along with this film has completed the circle and what a great journey it has been to re-watch (some for the first time *cough* Sequel Trilogy *cough*) these amazing (with a few not so amazing) films that informed my childhood and whose echoes reverberate through my adult life. Thank you for being you and allowing us to share these great film and TV experiences along with you. Kia Ora from New Zealand!

Jedi Psy

This movie is so bad. 2nd time watching this since theater and is even worse. The whole Kylo and Rey thing sucks.

Angel Torres

Now that you have seen all the Star Wars you should watch Mell Brooks's SPACE BALLS!!! you will get all most all of the jokes now

Aaron Taft

It's all about money. They wouldn't pay all that money for everyone to return. And they certainly wouldn't put in old footage characters from past movies. With that said, I love that version.

Philip Alan

Under the display towels needs to be a shirt lol

Fortress

i love your content, popcorn. i know this probably is not the place to suggest something else but i know for an absolute fact that ted lasso would be one of your new favorite shows. not many yt/patreon reactions to it so it may be uncharted territory to draw in new fans. also reactions to older classics like the sopranos or the wire or breaking bad. regardless i will keep watching whatever content you produce. you have a great energy that some unfortunate folks dont have in their lives. thanks

Michael

Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker are two of the worst films ever made.

Just Plain Bob

Rogue One, for me, is one of those movies that is enjoyable when you first watch it, but if you think about it at all it falls apart. Also, like the "Vader is space Jesus" prequels, it is a movie that didn't need to be made. The line or two in Star Wars and our imagination was all that was needed.

Mike Lemon

Me neither. It has some striking visuals and that Vader corridor scene is awesome, but I never cared a lick for any of the characters and I was never that fond of the explanation behind the flaw in the death star's design.

Stick Figure Studios

PATTERSON is a gem.

Stick Figure Studios

Never understood all the love shown Rogue One...🤷🏻‍♂️

Doubting Thomas

Haha!! Cassie, she wasn’t saying “under the display towels” she said “only this blade tells” Honestly, the sequels have been difficult for me. I’m not even gonna mention the prequels. But I’m a child of the 80’s and saw the original 3 movies in the theater. I grew up on Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie , R2 and 3PO. I watched those movies countless times. So when they started dying in these last movies, I was so upset. I felt like I was losing friends. I understand that they had to kill Leia because Carrie Fisher died and I can’t imagine what it was like to have to finish the movie without her, but the celebration at the end of this movie just wasn’t the same for me. I missed my friends. Cassie, at the end when she was asked who she was, she saw the spirits of Luke and Leia and took the name Skywalker. It’s funny that you mentioned LOTR at the end of your reaction, I wasn’t sure if you recognized one of the resistance members was Merry the hobbit. I had the subtitles on, so when Rey heard all the past Jedi, the subtitles had their name listed as they were speaking. We heard Luke, Anakin (actor from the prequels) Young and old Obi-Wan, Mace, Yoda, Qui-gon and other Jedi from the prequels. Zorii was played by Keri Russel, she appears in a lot of JJ Abrams shows and movies. I remember her from the tv show Felicity. She is also from a tv show called The Americans. Looking forward to The Mandalorian... 🍿

Tara

If you want a good romance film with Adam Driver you should check out PATERSON 2016

Matt

But you needed to finish it. And now it's done. Yay

nick bell

Mandalorian is pretty good but not quite as amazing as some say. Boba Fett is just God awful and should be ignored. The Disney movies simply were not good. Bad storylines, acting, dialogue....and yes...laziness. If we can't explain something just say..." it's the force" I get no matter how bad a star wars movie is , it will have fans ( prequels prove that). But bad storytelling is bad storytelling. No matter how pretty it looks.

nick bell

A lot of people don't know what it was like watching the 1st one in theatres when it came out in 77. I was there I was 6 and all I cared about was the lasers, ships, robots and Han Solo was my fav. I didn't care about story or graphics I was addicted after seeing that movie. When George Lucas said he would never do another star wars movie after Return of the Jedi I would play with my toys and make up my own. So to have more Star Wars anything was a blessing. Yes Jar Jar was annoying but the Star Wars was continued. Yes I don't like the new ones as much as the originals but I cannot be 6 again and see it the first time. So to sum up I'm a fan of all star wars.

Jayson Phillips

Cassie's reaction to Kylo and Rey's final scene made this whole movie worth rewatching.

Michael Jung

Also, this is an interesting video some fan made that I think sums up the new trilogy perfectly... maybe even worth a reaction to similar to your Obi Wan PTSD vid.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdm8rpv045U

Jeff Milcheck

Watching along with you was only the 2nd time I’ve seen this since watching in the theater. It’s actually a little better than I remembered. Force Awakens is still my favorite of the new and the only one I’d consider a good Star Wars film... and call me crazy, but I think a better ending would have been if Rey died and Ben lived.

Jeff Milcheck

That couldn't have been a truer statement if you meant it to be... Ugh, I really wanna roast the sequel trilogy right now...but since I love Cassie a bunch, I'll behave just this once.

GamerGal8684

I enjoyed watching you identify a lot of the things everyone else was also scratching their head over when they watched it. Like how they're physically interacting through this mind meld thing and how Snoak was the one that linked them, oh and the old timey ghosts weren't able interact with the world, just give advise.

William

She was interacting with folks on the live feed of the CREED YT premiere earlier today.

Stick Figure Studios

Hey Cass, have you watched This Is Where I Leave You? Its one of my favorite Adam Driver films. Lots of amazing actors, sort of a weird rom-com of sorts. But despite how some might feel about Star Wars. He is a great actors, Silence is another amazing Martin Scorsese directed film that is really amazing.

David RedEagle

I sure hope you are being paid extra to watch the sequel trilogy.

GamerGal8684

Has anyone heard from Cassie? She's been MIA on IG for like 4 days

William Bryan

I've seen it twice, but that's enough for me. I jumped around this video to see her reactions to some of the more stimulating parts, but I didn't watch along. I may check out the YouTube edit.

Stick Figure Studios

I hope you have the despecialized editions of the originals to watch. That ranking pretty much matches mine, but I don't include bad Mario Van Peebles movies in my list.

Mike Lemon

"Superfans" like a lot of what came after Jedi, there was an entire extended universe that was widely liked. Many of the fans don't like post Jedi movies because, well, they suck (though Force awakens was liked until Last Jedi pretty much ruined it).

Mike Lemon

I vote that Cassie reacts to this fan edit of the scene where Rey kills Palpatine. I can't believe Disney didn't think of it first. https://youtu.be/iT0HAvqB-EA

Andrew Ramos

Please watch The Mandalorian!

JiminyMac

Great stuff Cassie, you summed it up perfectly at the end. Next up on your Star Wars journey is the Mandalorian!

sage2d2

So Cassie's list of the new films was: Rogue One The Force Awakens Solo The Rise of Skywalker The Last Jedi I can see that. I think all of the Star Wars films are basically good, and any oder suffices. You could have Attack of the Clones #1 and I could understand your logic. But I was glad to see Cassie enjoyed this movie, and overall, enjoyed what I liked most about the Sequel Trilogy - Rey & Ben's Dyad. That really worked for me - Driver and Ridley were terrific and gave this trilogy a lot of depth. The OT trilogy is the Luke, Han & Leia trilogy, the prequels was the Kenobi, Anakin and Padme trilogy, and this one was the Rey & Ben trilogy for me. Good stuff. Will look forward to revisiting these reactions with Cassie down the road.

Jason Dolan

The son was a clone of Palpatine - somehow he got away, got married, and had a kid before the Emperor had someone track him down - for some reason the Emperor wanted the Grand kid rather than his own clone to use for the next empire,.... so many plot holes in this trilogy,....

ENC SW DV Rush

Cassie... "so her mother and father were the kids of Palpatine... which means... JJ Abrams REALLY leaned into the Star Wars incest in this movie."

Jason Dolan

Luke evaporated lol

Andrew Ramos

I'll never hate Star Wars though...... It was to big of a part of a lot of peoples lives. And lightsabers will always look so cool lol. That sounds dumb, but seriously. Has their ever been a weapon with such a cool fictional history, that looked so cool, and the sound we all have mimicked! Vader will go down as one of the greatest villains ever! The breathing will live on forever. As will 3PO and R2, and Han and Leigh. And of course old Ben and Yoda..

Michael J

Hey let's rank the Star Wars because it's fun! 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. Return of the Jedi 3. A New Hope 4. The Mandalorian 5. The Last Jedi 6. The Force Awakens 7. The Rise of Skywalker 8. Solo 9. Rogue One 10. The Book of Boba Fett 11. The Phantom Menace 12. Revenge of the Sith 13. Attack of the Clones 14. The Clone Wars Movie

Jason Dolan

I was half was joking on the post before about it. Hard to joke with text. Oddly I cant even remember it that well. I just remember calling my sister about "as everyone said" the end. Not only bad choices, but we even talked about odd camera angles, and odd action timing, and vary odd change of heart on a coin flip like feel. I just kind of let it go after a bit. Is what it is.

Michael J

This is a comment

Philip G.

I think Space Balls is a must watch after this though. If she hasn't. Kind of a fun way to end it, plus now it would make sense. But I have a odd feeling she has seen it?

Michael J

Just wanted to say that, even though I'm not a big Star Wars fan, I think I'd like to get a print of the Death Star wreckage so I can hang it on my bathroom wall. Under the display towels.

Christian Yoder

I'm entertained and swept up when I watch this one for the most part. It's after all is said and done I get sour about it. Mainly, I think it was a HUGE mistake to bring back Palpatine. That colors my view of the whole movie, so it ends up being my least favorite of all 9 films.

Drew

I’m with you Cassie, Out of all the new ones hands-down rogue one is my favorite. Great reaction, and yes you have come a long long way in Star Wars. As others have said the animated series is amazing a lot more back story. You would enjoy watching it even if you don’t react to it.

Steven Ashford

Glad You explained the significance of the colors of light sabers. I was going to ask someone who knew more about it on here to enlighten Cassie. The wand chooses the wizard Harry. There’s much more to saber lore. Maybe some more of your patriots can fill you in.

Steven Ashford

P.S. At this moment, here is how I personally would rank the SW films: Empire Strikes Back Star Wars* The Last Jedi Return of the Jedi The Force Awakens Revenge of the Sith Attack of the Clones Solo Rogue One Phantom Menace Rise of Skywalker *I'm old enough to remember a time before the first film was called "A New Hope." That's how I knew it and that's how I still refer to it.

Stick Figure Studios

You certainly have come a long way, Cassie. It's been a blast accompanying you on this journey. Happy for you that you enjoyed this entry. :-) For me, this is easily the worst of the sequel trilogy, the worst of the Disney era of Star Wars and quite possibly the worst of the entire franchise. Lazy storytelling, unimaginative retcons, awful pacing, needless new characters, interesting ideas/plots developments introduced and then resolved like five minutes later, dull action set pieces that follow relentlessly one after another, an endless supply of MacGuffins, new Force powers that make no sense, zero character development, embarrassingly shameless fan service (like Chewie's medal), a painfully obvious patch-quilted posthumous appearance by Carrie Fisher (RIP) and just a very overall disappointing conclusion to the sequel stories in particular and the whole Skywalker saga in general. Lando's appearance, Baby Frick and a music score by the always reliable John Williams are probably the only things in this film that lift me out of my head-shaking depression and make me smile whenever I watch this film. I am one of those who will always be upset that Colin Trevorrow didn't get to realize his vision for the film. Based on the script that's been circulating online called DUEL OF THE FATES (man, even the title is better), it would have been a vast improvement as it would have continued the themes/threads set up in Johnson's preceding film, resolved the character arcs much more dramatically and satisfyingly, and contained some actually inspired and imaginative visuals. Ah, what could have been. Oh, well. It happened the way it happened. There's nothing can be done now. :-( Onward and upward. Looking forward to viewing the MANDALORIAN, BOBA FETT and OBI-WAN KENOBI shows with you.

Stick Figure Studios

Agreed.

Stick Figure Studios

Here would be my rewrite: ditch Palps, and simply make those Sith cultists the big bad. And then reveal that this Sith cult was responsible for creating Anakin (a mystery that was never really solved despite the oblique hint that Palp knew something about it). He was meant to be a sort of antichrist, an avatar for all the power of the dark side. But then - and here's the kicker - when he failed and turned back to the good side, the Sith decided to try again and created Rey. This explains her immense power and connects her directly to the whole trilogy of trilogies without actually making her anyone's kin. So then the conflict is the Sith want to give their power to Rey, but, as Anakin's grandson, Kylo is also heir to that power and resents Rey and wants to prove he is worthy instead. This could ultimately end any number of ways, but it makes a clearer premise. But alas Hollywood never calls me to check about these things before they do them, hahaha.

Robin T

She did. Scroll back a bit. :)

Robin T

Yes, exactly! That's how I felt, like they are just going through a checklist of things to retcon and fan service about, and just throwing these scenes into the movie one after another.

Gábor Árki

pleeeeease watch Rogue One. it gives you the feel of the original trilogy so much.. Leaves you off right before the original A new hope...

Brian Landers

ROBIN'S DEFINITIVE, EMPIRICALLY CORRECT RANKING OF ALL STAR WARS FILMS ;) 1- The Empire Strikes Back 2- Star Wars (A New Hope) 3- The Force Awakens 4- Return of the Jedi 5- Rogue One 6- The Last Jedi 7- Solo 8- The Phantom Menace 9- Attack of the Clones 10- Revenge of the Sith 11- Troops 12- George Lucas in Love 13- Ryan vs Dorkman 14- Spaceballs 15- Starcrash 16- Hardware Wars 17- Mark Hamill's Jay & Silent Bob cameo 18- The Star Wars Holiday Special 19- Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody 20- The Rise of F#@king Skywalker Okay, I kid 😂 but this movie just infuriates me for squandering it's potential. The parts aren't all bad, but it's like three movies worth of ideas mashed into an editing disaster with no commitment to anything. And what really bugs me is that, for all it its faults, I really love the characters of the new trilogy - Rey, Finn and Kylo especially - they're all wonderfully drawn and cast, and they deserve better than this. Maybe Rey and Finn could get a spinoff, I'd like that. They each could have plenty more stories to tell, and would probably be all the better without the burden of supporting the "skywalker saga".

Robin T

Have to agree,, the animated episodes are very good.

Darren Hill

I think this movie could've worked so well if (a) They'd had this plotline in mind all along, seeding hints along the way, so the reveal of Rey's heritage didn't come from no where. [You can kind of see how the end of Force Awakens could go in this direction, with Rey really pummeling Kylo in a rageful way. In retrospect, that's probably a coincidence.] (b) If the Emporer's enticement at the end had actually been appealing. (I wasn't crazy about him being there in the first place. But at least make the scene work storywise.) Like, he's supposed to be a snake that makes tempting offers. But there was NOTHING anyone - Sith or Jedi - would want from his offer. No one wants to have their body essentially be possessed by someone else. He should've just offered power. (c) Here's the biggie: They should've had Rey take him up on his offer to join the dark side. It could've been a bittersweet ending where she *thought* she was doing the right thing by taking over as the big bad. Her reasoning being that she could be more "reasonable," and show some mercy. That would've been a haunting ending, since the audience and everyone in the resistance would know it was probably the wrong choice. Still, unlike a lot of people, I enjoy the sequel trilogy. It had that timeless magic and grandiose romanticism that I want from Star Wars. The "feel" of Star Wars is what's most important to me. For all its flaws, the sequel trilogy (for me) felt more "Star Wars" than any of the other recent stuff, including The Mandalorian. (Though yes, the lack of long-term planning was evident. I do wish they had nailed down a solid game plan beforehand to make a cohesive story arc, so that I wasn't alone on an island in appreciating the good aspects of this trilogy.)

WastedPo

When my son was eight (8) years old, he used to come up with these highly detailed, elaborate stories with his action figures. His preferred transition from one scene to another was the convenient use of the phrase, “and then…” That’s what this episode feels like. But Cassie’s list of favorite sequels matches my own in the exact same order, so that makes me happy - it means I’m not crazy, lol. Fun Reaction!

Ike

I so don’t get the people who say TLJ was such a disaster while this movie is around. Bringing back the Emperor is maybe the laziest plot choice of any of the trilogies. The first half hour of this movie is spent so doggedly retconning the last movie that they blew any time they could have spent making the Emperor’s resurrection palatable or surprising. Instead, “the dead speak!” Rey as a Palpatine? What? Why? Again, this is lazy writing. Rey in love with Kylo, the dude who mind-raped her in the first movie? I can’t even begin to express my disappointment at the terrible optics of that choice. Colin Trevorrow, who was removed as writer/director of Episode IX, had a phenomenal, completely different treatment for this story involving a final confrontation between Rey and Kylo on Coruscant, Finn raising a stormtrooper rebellion, and Rose (essentially forgotten here because Disney capitulated the toxic, racist fans who hated her) is one of the biggest heroes, being captured and surviving torture. I wish they’d made that movie. All that said, Babu Frikk is 100% amazing, and I actually love the little skittish droid who befriends BB-8. I like C-3PO’s increased importance in the story, and his act of sacrifice. I like Lando’s return. I know a lot of people shit on the dialogue, and a lot of it is silly, but it’s pretty true to the OT. It’s not a complete waste of two hours. It’s just not how I wanted the series to go out.

Brian Harris

I enjoy the SW movies, but not a huge fan or anything. I don't have the aversion superfans do to anything new after the first 3 movies. I enjoyed the prequels. I thought they had a good story and ep 3 is probably my fav movie. If Lucas had let someone revise the dialogue and found a better actor for Anakin it would have been really great. But the sequels didn't add anything for me. Felt it was just to put something out there to make money. No real spark of creativity behind it. Nevertheless I had low expectations going in and enjoyed them for what they are. With The Mandalorian I did feel that spark, a good idea with a vision of how it should look and feel. Looking forward to rewatching it with Cassie.

Pickupthepieces76

I can't wait to watch the Mandalorian with you. Its the best thing Disney's Star Wars has put out by miles.

Alex Gorell

“Live Long and Prosper” 🖖 😉 You really have come a long way Cassie! Not just in the Star Wars Saga, but in Non-RomCom films as well. I’m really enjoying when you quote all these films lately. I look forward to watching this final installment along with you this weekend!

Robert da Spruce

Lol no she's not. the only evidence of that is an out of line executive. Everyone else involved has debunked it, thankfully. Think of how awful that would be.

aarswft

Finn was going to tell Rey he could use the Force. Should have been that way for him and Poe from the very beginning. All 3 of them should have been the first wave of new force users. 2 out of 3 ain't bad though.

aarswft

I am really surprised. I started to watch along, but I only got about 30 minutes into it. I could not force myself to watch any more of it. I have already seen it, but this is the only Star Wars movie, I have not seen twice. Not counting the Star Wars story branch. I think I may just watch the edit.

Brian McGovern

Yep, it's Lando's daughter who was taken as a baby.

Drew

My reaction to this on repeated viewings are that the parts I enjoyed are still enjoyable and that parts I'm iffy about I can live with. And loved the exchange at the end, all without words. "Good going." "You too." "You wanna...get out out of..." "No." "Cool." Yes, maybe they were trying to use humor to cover some of the holes, but if it can make me laugh, I tend to forgive a lot.

Texas Anla'Shok

Oh my good Lord is she going to love The Mandalorian. I can't wait for that.

Caomhan84

Great reaction Cassie. 1) Carrie Fisher's daughter was in all three of the last trilogy (she played a republic officer). 2) The medal that is given to Chewie is the same medal given to Luke and Han in the first movie for destroying the death star - he got his late,.... 3) At the end of the movie, when Rey lights her light saber it has a gold colored crystal,... which represents a true balance in the force,... red- sith/evil, green - sage/consular/good, blue - knights/good, purple - good/learned to understand but resist dark side and remain on light side (mixing of blue and red - Mace Windu), and gold - understanding and balancing that we all have good/evil sides to us. 4) Some of the force powers in the last movie reflect some powers that are shown in the games and other books that have been written since the original story came out in 1977 that were not in previous movies. The timeline doesnt fit well either,... they travel to multiple planets in a super short period of time,.... The sith blade as a map really doesnt fit The love stories in the last three were so disconnected - they really dont fit well,... Enjoyed your reaction to this movie,... but the last three in the trilogy really messed up original canon and do not fit well with all of the other video games, books, and original 6 movies - really big plot holes that just dont fit,....

The last two of Boba... top tier Star Wars!

Great reaction! Finn was going to tell Rey that he's Force sensitive. :)

Absolutely. There will never be any more Star Wars going forward just as there hasn’t been any Star Wars since this movie came out. Oh wait… 🙄

Jason Chirevas

The final nail in the Star Wars coffin thanks to Disney.

Darren Hill

How soon we forget that Kylo Ren is a mass murder of epic proportions who also betrayed his loved ones. I wasn't so sad when he died. Sorry, can't root for him.

Shawn Kildal

I'm sure people have mentioned it before and I'm sure there are mixed thoughts. But if you've really should check out the animated shows. With your reaction on here or not, either way.

Ron K

The Mandalorian, awesome! I mean really incredible. The Book of Boba Fett, not so much (with some very few exceptions). Personal opinion: I find that all of the spinoffs (including Solo and Fett) to be superior to the cinematic sequels (Ep. VII - IX). Looking forward to Kenobi and Mando S3. Enjoy!

Ramzi M. A. Ramzi

Can't wait for Mandalorian! For Boba, maybe not the best first season.. but it gave us a few episodes anyone who's a fan of Star Wars need to watch.

Rippan

Worst. Star Wars. Movie. Ever. Okay, if I count in the Holiday Special then it might come in as second. I don't even want to go into details with all the issues, the blatant fan service, constant retconning (not just Last Jedi but even this movie itself) and nonsense plot twists of the movie. For me the most jarring one of all: by bringing back Palpatine as the main villain secretly orchestrating everything that happened in the sequels they completely and utterly undermined the entire original trilogy. What our heroes achieved there feels completely pointless because they didn't actually win as we thought so far. But at least it is going to be better from this point on and really hoping SW will never hit this low ever again.
