Yes. Some people outside of Canada know what a zamboni is. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've always liked this movie. Funny and sweet.

Now you've gotta see Blades of Glory.

I'm glad you watched this, Cassie! It's one of my favorites! I'm always so happy during the final skate!! Your reactions always make me happy cuz they remind me of how I felt the first time I watched them ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š

And with such a soothing voice... :-)

CineBinge rock :) The joke George did on Simon while watching "The sixt sense" had me laughing so much, and I had to watch the part again and again. LOL

My Dad and I were always hoping for a director's cut someday because there are so many great deleted scenes that didn't make it as well. Love that film.

+1 for Open Range

"Welcome back to my bed of popcorn" Note the shout-out by CineBinge (Simone & George) (who have been gradually giving up on rote introductions): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSAk1avTlDc

Like I said earlier in the string, this is one of well liked movies that I can watch again and again. "Toe-pick!" As for the discussion on 'Best Westerns', all that were listed are good but in truth my favorite was always Open Range. No deserts, (just incredible cinematography), and no banjos. It does have some small sadness in it, as all good movies do, but not as 'dark' as Unforgiven. in my opinion, just enough to carry the plot and an incredible love story built in with a great justice and love happy ending. Plus Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall and Annette Bening!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

'Pappy' Johnston

Yes, I know what a Zamboni is. I went to HS with one of the kids, and we even went to their ice rink, "Iceland" in Paramount, California. Another friend did the Sound Editing on this film.

๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s frightening!

[Since I am enamoured with the sight of my own words, I shall recycle a previous comment.] Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to watch this reaction. I saw the movie once, and it scarred me deeply. I should have known better than to watch a horror movie. Yes, a horror movie. A frustrated unemployed young man with a history of violence inserts himself into the life of a motherless reclusive young heiress, motivated by the family fortune and her graceful good looks. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to get him to leave her alone. It is not a spoiler to say that blades are involved. The *Cutting Edge*, anyone? What is this if *not* a horror movie? I admire Cassie's fortitude, but I cannot put myself through this again.

Debbie Downer here: The movie cut off where it did because they did not win Gold. Due to their poor short program, the "unconventional" Pamchenko Twist, and the standard anti-newcomer bias, they didn't even medal. In fact, the Eastern Bloc judges ranked them dead last. Oh, and while I'm at it, switching a high-level figure skater from pairs to singles is just too difficult; it is much more practical to transform a hockey player into a figure skater. :-)

I like this movie, I was confident you'd like this movie, and I enjoyed the reaction. But even though I thought of it, I didn't even mention the movie previously because I thought it would have no chance; I highly doubt it would have succeeded using the regular polls. It was chosen literally by luck of the draw (thank you to whoever sent it). So. Can anyone think of a way of getting more movies like this? (I.e. not Great Films, not huge hits, but simple fun for Cassie and us.) (This is somewhat related to Gabor's sentiments in the "Update and Upcoming and Hi!" post.)
