Hey everyone, ok this is the "hump week" of January 2022, does everyone else find January the most depressing month? Or just me? Don't forget that self care and maybe pretend plan a vacation :)
Good news is, fun week! Maverick and Matrix 2? We have got Range here ha! Not to mention Apollo 13 it is looking like, its killing in the "Based on Historical Event Poll". It seems the real race will be for 2nd place watch. What are your thoughts on taking the next 4 and doing another quick poll, so the votes can be consolidated a bit more? Or would that be offensive to the people who voted for the 2nd place winner of the original poll?
There will also be another poll coming soon to help me pick a football movie for Superbowl week. I have seen some good ones already-Remember the Titans, Rudy, We are Marshall and ya actually that might be it.
One more thing. After feedback from a lot of you on the POPpies voting form, I am proposing a change before I put the form on YouTube for subscribers to vote on as well. For best picture, right now it is my top 10 most viewed on YT as nominees, I am thinking of changing that to just my favorite reactions of mine, and then you vote again (just on that one though).
Ok I think that is all, Maverick will be up tonight, I'm excited for you to watch that one with me.

2022-01-21 17:16:55 +0000 UTCIf you haven't seen it you should consider adding Meet Joe Black to one of your polls. It's one of my favorite love stories.

2022-01-20 16:52:29 +0000 UTCYes, the bad weather is adding to gloomy vibes of January. Can't wait for the Spring to arrive. Hope you and your family are doing good. Stay safe. Looking forward to all the fun uploads. As for the votes, it is entirely your call. I am sure, you will choose the best option. 👍😊

2022-01-19 16:36:31 +0000 UTCI just thought I'd post this link to Major League Baseball, since we have recently seen Field of Dreams. It's an article about baseball movies. Thought you might be interested. https://www.mlb.com/news/featured/greatest-baseball-movies-the-natural-field-of-dreams-for-love-of-the-game?partnerId=zh-20220119-530988-mlb-1-A&qid=1026&utm_id=zh-20220119-530988-mlb-1-A&bt_ee=VRz78UkT4qCskPEYUdt%2FUPME7BXWuz7diuTpvo%2B%2FDu8XXRKwPsfZkwliZrVH6Zay&bt_ts=1642602029879

2022-01-19 14:32:05 +0000 UTCI think it would be better if The Beverly Hillbillies were never mentioned again.

2022-01-19 11:57:58 +0000 UTCIt will be fun watching Cassie react to Little Giants (1994). She will love it as well. Any Given Sunday (1999) and The Replacements (2000) are my other two recommendations.

2022-01-19 11:34:26 +0000 UTCSuperbowl Movie? My first thought went right to Black Sunday, 1977 Thriller/Mystery. It has Robert Shaw (Quint in Jaws). I don't suppose anyone else will pick this one but perhaps in a thriller category down the road. :)
2022-01-19 10:36:00 +0000 UTCThere's a part of me that hopes that Mel Gibson in Maverick leads to you watching Lethal Weapon but given what you've watched before, what I've seen you latch onto and enjoy... I think you'd really get a kick out of Mel in What Women Want.

2022-01-19 06:59:09 +0000 UTCDon't forget that they were sued over the intellectual property contained in the first Matrix film; as someone claimed it was plagiarism. They had to write the next two themselves... oops :S

2022-01-19 06:40:42 +0000 UTCAnd lest we forget, The Matrix R-thogonal. The solution I have embraced, after my first go through the trilogy, is to stick to The Matrix R-iginal. I'll probably watch a total of 3-4 minutes of Cassie's reaction. (If she and anyone else here enjoys the sequels, great! I'll do without.)

2022-01-19 06:06:49 +0000 UTCI remember when the Beverly Hillbillies movie and Maverick released around the same time in the UK. I saw them both and definitely liked Maverick a lot more!

2022-01-19 04:52:05 +0000 UTCGotta admit that with The Matrix Reloaded, Revolutions, Revisited, Resurrections, Renovations, or whatever they are, I can never remember which is which.
