It just says everything about their friendship. I bet you did not expect this kind of movie to be a favourite of so many men. There is a lot you don't know about men ha ha ;)

I was managing a theatre in Hays, KS when this movie came out and Fort Hays sent us a re-enactor, dressed as a soldier and talking about Fort Hays and the local buffalo to the guests in our lobby. And, as an ex-theatre manager, my vote will also be to watch the original movie that the audience saw when the movie came out. As you put it, See what we saw. Good work!

Both involve a Civil War soldier who is adopted into a native culture and ends up falling in love with a woman and fighting with his new found family against the army he once served.
