The Fugitive - Full Reaction

Hey guys! I actually LOVED this movie! It's no surprise it was #1 in the mega bracket... I think the suspense category is growing on me and is quickly becoming one of my fav movie categories! It did help that my main man HF was amazing in this, so was Tommy Lee Jones. Anyway, hopefully you guys enjoy the reaction! Have a great start to your week!

The Fugitive - Full Reaction

Comments

An amazing movie. Every time. lol. Enjoyed watching with you. Again.

Carol Rocha

Yep, Val Kilmer is stunning in Tombstone.

Clay F

sorry for the delay in getting this one up, but it should be go in just a few hours from now!!

Cassie

The links are broken on this one.

rhaegar

That would have suuuuucked if they didn't get it right on the first take.

I ahven't seen this movie. But any time I hear about it, I can only think of Scrubs. People who know will know why.

Walter King

Or she could watch “Wyatt Earp” Both are good

John Cohen

That was the first thing I said as well. "Who is Wyatt Earp?" SMH.

Matthew Carter

The train wreck was real. I remember watching commentary and the director emphasized they only got one shot at it. It is a fantastic movie.

Steven Ashford

There’s actually a sort of sequel to this movie called U.S. Marshals (1998). It centers around Tommy Lee Jones’ character and his Marshal team as they chase another man who was wrongfully accused of murder, played by Wesley Snipes. Also there is a younger Robert Downey Jr. in the movie too lol

Gilbert Gonzalez

don't know if you know this, but this is based on a tv show that ran from '63 to '67 with the same basic plot line. innocent doctor convicted of murder spends years trying to find the real killer and prove his innocence. considering how much you wanted people to support, trust, and believe in him in this movie (for just a couple of hours), imagine what it must have been like to watch this happening week after week for years.

Sensei Dave

If you like this one you would like double jeopardy with TLJ and Ashley Judd

Midgey_M

"Who's Wyatt Earp" Tombstone to the front of the line please.

Jeff Heitz

You should react to Brick. I think you'll really like it.

Matt Gwinn

That had you on the edge of your seat. You respond emotionally with your whole body. I bet you are physically tired and emotionally drained after watching some of these movies.

Steven Ashford

Those are the second best Jack Ryan movies. The BEST Jack Ryan movie is Hunt for Red October!

Johnny

Suspense huh. You'll love North by Northwest when you finally get to it. This was a fun watch and I knew you'd love it.

softshoes

You’re a Daisy of you do!

Steve Miller

I think she might like Val Kilmer better.

Steve Miller

She’s gotta do Clear And Present Danger and Patriot Games too. The best Jack Ryan movies…outside of the Amazon series.

Steve Miller

An absolute classic. So glad that you enjoyed it. I'll recommend Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts. Primal Fear as I saw someone else mention. If you want some more Mr Ford, then a personal favourite of mine is Regarding Henry. For when you might want something lighter.

Daryl

scrubs forever

Heartfelt

Haha, well to be fair you have to remember a trial like this takes a long time, which the movie acknowledges when people talk about Dr. Lens dying "last summer" despite being very much alive the night of the murder. So it's at least a few months later, and probably about a year or so.

Robin T

FINALLY!!! Thank you Cassie. 🙂

Joe M

The Janitor!

Enterprize

For another fun suspense thriller with Harrison Ford (and a fabulous Michelle Pfeiffer), i recommend What Lies Beneath. A cracking little film with a script by Agent Coulson.

Opti_Frog

Wow. I never knew that. Do you know if those scenes were cut in the script stage, or did they actually end up filming them?

WastedPo

I know Cassie loves a good love story, but his wife hasn't even been dead a few weeks and she's talking about setting up Kimble with Julianne Moore's character. Lol. But yes a great movie we all thought you would enjoy.

Obsolyeet

WORKING GIRL: Another Harrison Ford movie you'd probably enjoy, and one I don't think anyone else has reacted to. ... But to echo someone else's suggestion, THE MOSQUITO COAST would make for a very interesting reaction. Definitely more "challenging" as it's not exactly a crowd-pleasing summer movie. But Ford is fantastic in it. It also stars Helen Mirran and River Phoenix and is worth watching for the acting alone.

WastedPo

I remember seeing some behind-the-scenes interviews for this movie at the time and an interviewer asked Ward why she agreed to play such a small part in the movie, and she said, "I get to play Harrison Ford's wife."

Patrick Flanagan

A real good Harrison Ford Movie that for Cassie is a must see is The Mosquito Coast. But he is not necessarily the good guy by the end.

Eddie Korstanje

A few things: I wonder how Sela Ward liked doing a kissing scene with the sexiest man alive at the time? A sad thing about cops, especially those in NY and Chicago, once they're convinced someone is guilty, they are VERY SLOW about changing their minds and rarely make an apology or retraction on an official level (unless compelled). There still remains a level of resentment even when found innocent.

3dbadboy1

Great reaction Cassie! This is on my "100 greatest movies" list and while I haven't seen it in a while it didn't disappoint. In spite of being almost 30 years old, it still holds up. That being said a lot of my favorite, rewatchable movies were from the 90s. Great react on a great film! <3

MattN

A great suspense/thriller is Double Jeopardy with Ashley Judd. A fantastic movie that you'd love

Katie Jackson

Ha Ha.... That was funny at the end when you said that him and Julianne Moore could get together and they could be hero Doctors together. Made me chuckle.

Moe howard

Yep, to echo many other commenters....when you asked "Who's Wyatt Earp?" that now means you have to watch Tombstone starring Kurt Russell, Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese from Terminator/Hicks from Aliens) and Val Kilmer (in his best and coolest role, IMHO). Probably my favorite western!

inpham0us

Such a great great movie. The second you said who's Wyatt Earp I know most people watching this with you thought oh my God now she has to go watch Tombstone. Incredible movie. You think you like Harrison Ford. You're going to really love Kurt Russell in that movie.

Michael Lynch

I can’t be the only one that yelled “Rawhide!” when Cassie was singing “Loading, loading, loading” at the beginning.

Wes Stewart

Fun reaction! Always like the new happy love endings you somehow add to every movie, Cassie Closure! 😄

Nismo

Okay, guys. We have the final cut, the director's cut, and now we need the "Cassie Cut" that includes the very happy ending scenes. Who wouldn't want to see Harrison Ford and Julianne Moore become a couple and volunteer for Doctors Without Boarders?

Kevin

So many people are recommending other Harrison Ford movies, which makes me think it would be a good idea to have polls for certain actors and directors. Harrison Ford movies, Matt Damon movies, Scorsese, Speilberg, Nolan, etc, etc

Johnny

Cassie, at 1:47 the cop is played by Neil Flynn A.K.A Yan-e-tor (the Janitor) from Scrubs.

Kevin

I agree!! She should totally react to this.

brooke atkins

Right?!?!?!

William Bryan

Tombstone. Make a western poll or tournament and make Tombstone an option. It literally broke my heart when she said, Who is Wyatt Earp?"

CallMeWheels

Another solid selection for suspense involving Harrison Ford would be "What Lies Beneath"... also stars Michelle Pfeiffer.

Michael Labs

Another good action film starring Harrison Ford is "Air Force One".

Rem1967

Now that you're watched this one you need to watch the sequel called "U.S. Marshalls".

Chazzie3679

if you liked this movie youll LOVE CON AIR with Nicholas Cage

Mike Lipke

Cassie, the US Marshalls service has a very long and distinguished history going all the way back to 1789. Wyatt Earp was a famous lawman and US Marshall in the Old West who is probably best known for the gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the subsequent Earp Vendetta Ride against the Cowboys Gang. There is a great movie that tells the story that you would absolutely LOVE called "Tombstone" (1993). If you were to add that one to a poll I'm sure it would go far!

Sean Novack

That was a good one. I love this movie, I remember seeing it in the cinema at age 10 on a Saturday afternoon with a bunch of school friends, and it’s been one of my most returned to movies since.

Biggman83

Am convinced Cassie would have believed Dr. Richard Kimble if this had really happened.

Alex Villarreal

She needs this blanket!! https://bit.ly/3ovkhi7

Rich Mcclure

Great reaction! If you like Harrison Ford and suspense, you've got to watch Air Force One from 1997!

David Crabtree

ehhhh...I don't think either one is particularly great. I'd recommend HOUR OF THE GUN starring James Garner and Jason Robards.

Patrick Flanagan

Julianna more with together with Harrison Ford anyone ever told you should write romance movie cassie :)

MatthewBrown74m

"Who is Wyatt Earp?" - Oh my gosh! :D That western bracket is really really needed. The better one to watch is Tombstone (1993), a decent one but not such an outstanding movie is Wyatt Earp (1994).

Gábor Árki

Hitchcock has your suspense fix. Rear Window. Vertigo. Both super suspenseful. Put me out of my misery, please.

MikeLL

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Six Days Seven Nights, I have a feeling she’d enjoy that Harrison Ford movie too. In fact she should have a Harrison Fordathon or something similar. One Ford movie each week for a month.

Andrew Hogan

Cassie, your "alternate ending" was actually pretty spot on. It was originally intended for Julianne Moore's character to have a much larger role but most of her scenes were cut. Kimble goes back to her for help after their interaction in the hospital and they eventually develop a minor romance.

Paul G

The very attractive female redheaded doctor was Julianne Moore who was in the infancy of her movie career at that point at 33 years-old. She has been in a ton of movies at this point.

JayF

I thought I saw a connection with Dr Kathy Wahlund (Jayne Lynch), in the lab.

Grinznmore

And it is Edward Norton's debut if I recall correctly. It's a great watch just for his amazing performance

Dirk Rheeder

Popping her knuckles. Bad habit. 😝

Jon Johns

Casie, were you clicking your toes ? :) :) at around 1:35ish

Dirk Rheeder

I don't usually make up new endings but since Cassie likes the super happy ending I'll reveal the extended version that I made up just now. After being pardoned by the State of Illinois, Richard decides to move to small town and open a medical practice with Julianne Moore(not the real life actress but I don't remember her name in the movie). It starts as friendship but turns romantic. They start a family and live happily ever after. The end.:)

Mark M

Gone Girl would probably be the best reaction video yet. There are so many WTF moments and the performances and direction are top notch. Great Film!

BD Williams

You are right Cassie he needs a mustache! But it always ends up falling off!😄 Otherwise superb performance by Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford. This is my favorite category too, the 90's....😀

Grégory Gautier

This is my favorite non-franchise Harrison Ford movie. The rare action/thriller that actually received a Best Picture Nomination. Everything about this film works for me.

BD Williams

I love Tommy Lee Jones but one of the greatest travesties in Oscar award history was winning best supporting actor for this over Ralph Fiennes (Amon Gothe) in Schindler’s List. Tommy Lee Jones is great at playing Tommy Lee Jones.

Daniel

He SWITCHED THE SAMPLES!. Love this movie, there's also a squeal to this called US Marshall, it's been awhile since I've seen that one.

Matt

amazing movie. I grew up with this one and watched it when it first came out. good stuff

MetallicOpeth

Watching it now Cassie, as always lots of fun. This is one of those rare perfect movies, I can not count how many times I have seen it and it still maintains some level of the thrill ride I experienced when I saw it for the first time in theaters with my family. As to your question early on in the movie, "Who is Wyatt Earp?". May I suggest you watch Tombstone (1993), a western.

JediLounger

I love this movie, and happy I finally got to watch along with you. Some more Harrison Ford movies to check out: Witness (1985) Patriot Games (1992) Air Force One (1997) Harrison as the president!

Kevin Townsend

"Tell this fake Kimbal he looks good in a beard." "Mmm... I think so." <3 :D :D :D "Do you remember what I told you in the tunnel?" "Wha--?? Oh sh-- it's really him?!?!" I love that bit. :)

Sabrecho

Great Reaction!!! I'm so glad this won....I've been waiting so long for a reactor that I'm subscribed to react to this and you are the first!!! This movie is definitely in my top 10....If you liked this I believe you would like The Negotiator with Samuel Jackson as well.

David Martin

This is an absolute classic of a movie. Sooo happy you did a reaction to this one!! Your inexhaustible upbeat outlook and love for happy endings always makes me smile.

Andrew Rose

I HIGHLY recommend watching Harrison Ford in "Regarding Henry". He is amazing with his facial expressions in that film.

Chris Reise

This is another one of my favorite movies and your reaction was wonderful, as always! May I suggest a few other choices to consider: The Package (1989 film, Gene Hackman as the protaganist, suspense/espionage thriller happening near the end of the cold war) Red Dawn (1984 ORIGINAL, not the shitty remake) Crimson Tide (submarine thriller with Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman) Rising Sun (one of my personal favorites that feature Sean Connery) The Hunted (Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro, 2003) Sicario (Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt, 2015)

David Bennett

This was based on a 1960s TV series, which spent four years showing Dr. Kimble on the run from Lt. Gerard and hunting the mysterious one-armed man. The series was famous for being perhaps the first weekly TV series to actually have an ending! Rather than just go off the air after being cancelled, the producers had the last two episodes show Kimble finally catch the one-armed man, prove his innocence to the authorities and receive a pardon on "the day the running stopped." While the show only had average ratings during its final season, the last episode set a record for high ratings for the time - about 40 percent of the United States tuned in live to see Kimble catch his man. Tommy Lee Jones became a star from this movie. A few years later he reprised his role in a spinoff sequel, U. S. MARSHALS, with Wesley Snipes taking on the role of the new fugitive. But it didn't do that great and there were no further sequels.

Patrick Flanagan

This was a really fun reaction. Just watching the good guy vs the good guys just makes it so much better. And when she said early on that 'this is such a good movie' before we were at the halfway point was just glorious. This movie was long over due, but when we are voting on so many glorious movies, well, we'll get to them eventually. This was a treat and I raise my glass, cheers.

Mr. Killeverything

US Marshalls (1998) is a solid Sequel its fun.

Eric Zebrowski

Not sure if you're aware or not, but this movie does have a sequel of sorts, "U.S. Marshals", albeit minus anything to do with Richard Kimble. It's not as good as The Fugitive IMO, but if you liked the marshals characters you'll get more of that, along with Wesley Snipes and Robert Downey Jr.

Chris B.

Cassie, wasn’t that a thrill? The TV series in 1963 had the nation glued to their TV sets. David Janssen played Dr. Kimble. The final dramatic ending in 1967 was one of the most watched finales in Television history. Everybody was betting whether it was the one armed man or not. Put Primal Fear on your list. It’s a good one. It stars Richard Gere and Edward Norton. Be careful not to read any spoilers. Thank you for a good evening. Worthy of a large bowl of popcorn.

Grinznmore

Great movie and with HF in it, it was inevitable that you would like it. In general it's been great to see you take to all these different genres and taking all these great stories in. Sometimes, it's just fun, but seeing you wear that poppy with more knowledge and understanding than before means that often enough it's much more. And it's awesome to see, keep it up!

Pickupthepieces76

The train they crashed in this movie is still in the same location. I think it was too expensive to move so they left it in place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raalmAFeloA

Brian McGovern

"Ouch. My glasses"

Brian McGovern

i love that! thanks for commenting this ❤️❤️

Cassie

A lot of people were upset that Harrison Ford was NOT nominated for an Oscar in this performance. Tommy Lee, however, won the Oscar for best Supporting Actor. During his acceptance speech he thanked this person, that person, these people, those people, "and of course I want to thank a man who NEEDS no support, Harrison Ford."

Chris Reise

You should watch Sunshine, very underrated British scifi thriller. Lots of surprise turns. pretty sure you'll love the cast

Sahitya

Great that you're enjoying suspense. You shouldn't have said it out loud though.... Prepare to be buried neck deep in movie suggestions. My little suggestions... GONE GIRL. KNIVES OUT. PRIMAL FEAR.

Marina

Of course you loved it, it's perfect. :) In fact I think I originally joined your Patreon when I saw The Fugitive had narrowly lost the first time around and was like, "well that's not happening again while I'm around" lolol "well think me up a cup of coffee and a donut with some of those little sprinkles on top would you, as long as you're thinking?"

Robin T

I'll forever have love for this movie giving us one of the best non sequiturs in The Simpsons: https://youtu.be/8oCQXBkD1Fc

Chris B.

Yippie, love me some Harrison Ford.
