I know it was released in a different order when it aired, but I am watching it as the DVD of the season has it. To say I was confused for the first bit is an understatement. That first episode I may not have said much because I was processing a lot. I feel like after the 2nd episode I was hooked and intrigued and wanted to keep going. I apologize in advance for all the questions, I know more will be revealed to me as I keep going!

The movie is fine, and can stand on its own, but pointless without the show if you ask me.

2021-12-05 11:06:59 +0000 UTCI feel like a lot of hardcore Firefly fans (Browncoats) like myself would tell you that part of the show's charm is indeed not having much of a backstory and discovering the history of the characters as we go. Very excited to have found another reactor who will be watching one of my favourite series of all time (and hopefully the feature film afterwards as well). Keep up the great work π

(Oh...and awesome reaction...this show is spectacular, and would no doubt have been one of the true great milestone series if it had been allowed to go on for more than a fraction of a season...it still kind of is a true great milestone.)

2021-11-09 02:01:12 +0000 UTCThe world of Firefly is fun. In this future, thanks to rapid expansion to different planets, cultures ultimately merged. That's why people don't speak different languages, they all just speak a hybrid English/Chinese. What's fun though, is that the actual reason they speak Chinese, is so they can say bad words and not be censored by TV. So anytime they are speaking Chinese, they are typically saying some not nice things lol.
