"Event" Submission
Added 2021-10-27 06:02:30 +0000 UTCTwo posts in eight minutes! I'm going to be picking two Patrons to choose a movie for me to watch. It can be WHATEVER you'd like as long as:
1) I haven't seen it
2) There's no excessive nudity
3) It's not a demonic horror movie.
The "event" will be held on Discord and I'll pick live at random on a Discord stream (although you don't need to be there live to be chosen, I'll announce it on Patreon afterwards). Maybe we can chat for a bit as well! In order to be considered for the "event" you must fill out the form below:
FORM
The exact time and day will follow, but it will probably be next week!
If you need directions on how to connect your discord account to your Patreon account, you can find that here.
Edit: Lots of people are having issues connecting their patreon account to the discord server (or are doing so but see nothing). I'm trying to get it figured out and I'll keep you updated!

2021-11-04 05:12:54 +0000 UTCI think I'm going with "Interview with the Vampire" if I win. Fat chance but thats what I'm going with.

2021-11-03 16:47:14 +0000 UTCI would say To kill a mockingbird, thats what comes to my mind for a movie I think she would like... but I'm also thinking several Cary Grant movies as well, have suggested several already

2021-10-31 18:50:24 +0000 UTCIf I won I would choose one of these: Rob Roy, Risky Business, True Romance, World War Z, Jo Jo Rabbit, Rushmore, In the Name of the Father (assuming Cassie hasn't seen any of them). A recommendation for everyone: I Care A Lot on Prime. Surprisingly excellent movie. Rosmund Pike versus Peter Dinklage in an epic Battle Royale.

2021-10-30 05:03:27 +0000 UTC"The Saint" with Val Kilmer or "Some kind of Wonderful" from the director of Pretty in Pink. Those are two I haven't seen suggested yet...even though they most likely have been lol.

2021-10-29 15:02:28 +0000 UTCDances With Wolves ........... The Quiet Man

2021-10-28 23:03:18 +0000 UTCDeath and the Maiden would be a good choice too. Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley have incredible chemistry together

2021-10-28 22:09:12 +0000 UTCIt might be a no go. It does have excessive nudity. I wonder if she likes weird antique shops, teenage fashion designers and collected stickers in the 80s?

2021-10-28 22:06:01 +0000 UTCI have a feeling Paul Rudd will soon be promoting your pick on Conan O'Brien.

2021-10-28 21:56:30 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say the movie would break her heart. It has one of those endings that is both sad yet a relief at the same. Reason this movie is so great, at least for me, is it shows life through the eyes of Native Americans during the 19th century. I was too young to appreciate the movie fully when it first came out. It wasn't until I was 20 that I came to appreciate it. Cassie would love the movie despite the unsettling ending. I'd bet $100k on it.

2021-10-28 21:29:55 +0000 UTCThe original IT has a fantastic ending that Cassie would absolutely love. No bull here. That aside Dances With Wolves had completely slipped my mind. That's the movie I'd choose.

2021-10-28 18:16:23 +0000 UTCThen why would you choose IT? You think she would enjoy that? π

2021-10-28 17:56:28 +0000 UTCFor older classic film I'd say "The Lion In Winter" with Peter O'Toole, Katherine Hepburn, Anthony Hopkins & Timothy Dalton.

2021-10-28 17:22:07 +0000 UTCTotally. Im not going to say what my pick is because i want it to be a surprise. Im just hoping she likes aliens, McDonald's and kids in wheelchairs getting killed by explosions.

2021-10-28 15:11:09 +0000 UTCThis might be controversial, and obviously you're free to pick whatever you want, but I can't understand why someone would pick a popular movie for this. What I mean is, why waste your pick on something that's going to win a poll eventually? Don't you have a movie that you love that not many people have seen, that you found by accident, that you enjoy introducing your friends to? Personally I have quite a few. But if you have to see Diehard or The Goonies reacted to right now, when you know that sooner or later they will win a poll, well go right ahead then. But it seems like a complete waste to me.

2021-10-28 11:32:16 +0000 UTCEveryone just be sweet to Cassie and pick something you like and something she would enjoy. She deserves it. She's sweet. Trust me on this one.

2021-10-28 11:20:01 +0000 UTCI wasnt serious, although, it would be great to watch her react to Linnea Quigley's disappearing lipstick trick.

2021-10-28 08:32:15 +0000 UTCAh very savvy of you, Cassie. You might as well name stipulation number 3 "The Exorcist protection." lol In that case, off the top of my head the Goonies would probably be my first pick. Family friendly, my favorite movie growing up as a kid in the 80's.

2021-10-28 03:37:21 +0000 UTCOoooh flip. I was going to pick Night of the Demons from 1988. Or Demons from 1985, if she had already seen that one.

2021-10-28 03:17:50 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure Das Boot and Dances with Wolves (director's cut) will eventually win through, so I'm thinking maybe Amadeus, Fever Pitch (orignial English version) or maybe Life of Brian? Or maybe the brilliant Dangerous Liasons? Though decision.
