Coming up....and update!

Hey friends, hope you all had a great fall weekend! October is going by so fast, getting closer to Halloween, which I LOVE! Did you see some of the movie inspired costumes we've done in years past I posted on Instagram? @popcorninbed if you want to follow there :)

Ok so a few updates:

Shutter Island will be on Patreon tonight. I loved it and once again, did not see that coming. Although I decided I'm not going to put it up on Youtube this month. I guess I thought it would be a lot scarier, and while it was super tense and thrilling, not really scary and I wanted to do something a little more scary/halloween-esque in October. So I added Halloween (1978) back into the mix. I took it off my schedule after The Shining thinking it would be too scary BUT I have no lasting fear from The Shining, this is supposed to be less scary and Ben will be on stand-by for moral support!

About the Patreon draw thing. We reached out to Patreon to ask them about it and they basically said it is a "grey area" but to be safe we are going to do the drawing through the discord server. Date and time TBD but soon. If you don't have access to discord right now, you will get it for the thingy. I'm hoping to watch the winning picks in November so it will be soon. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, I want to do a random draw of patron names and pick two people to choose a movie they want me to watch (as long as I've never seen it, no extreme nudity or demonic scariness)

Reminder about the live on YT on TUESDAY at 8:30 MDT for fun, chatting, Q&A and opening some packages. I was SO nervous for the last one but this time I feel more excited. I am sorry about the later time for those in other time zones that makes it so late in the night, but with littles, I have to wait until they are asleep. I'm hoping for the next one we could make a Saturday afternoon work.

The TV poll ends tonight at midnight. It is SO close between Firefly and True Detective with Queens Gambit not far behind. I will obviously watch the winner, but I still want to eventually watch all of them!

I just think you are all the best and thank you SO SO much for being here:)

Hey Cassie! Yeah I'm not so tech saavy either, and I did try those steps. I'll reach out to them. Any chance you could post an invite link to your server? Edit: I got it to work!

My_Cousin_Mose

Some good titles. I'd love to see you do a reaction to Fright Night. A vampire movie with some comedic elements. A fun movie, not too scary and a great one for Halloween.

Russell

American werewolf in London!! John lantus director!!I am a real werewolf fan! This is one of the best werewolf films!! Made in the 80’s No CGI!! The werewolf change is spectacularly brilliant!!

Neill

These are some great titles. Can't wait.

Godzilla Jones

Discord is weird. I've been trying to set up an account for 30 minutes, no luck. It kept saying I need to verify by email, after I'd already verified by phone. But when I clicked on 'verify by email', nothing happened, the page froze. I closed it and tried to log back in, says my phone is registered but it won't let me log in. I got onto them via the support page and they just sent me a template FAQ response. Can't be arsed going further with it tbh. I hope Cassie can still include me for the draw though.

Hey! So I'm not super tech savvy, but here is the official directions from Patreon on how to link your account. Have you tried these steps? https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-How-do-I-connect-Discord-to-Patreon-Patron- If that doesn't work, I would reach out to them via email and they should be able to help out. From my end, it shows you should have access to the discord.

Cassie

Hey guys i'm trying to get logged into the discord server before the drawing and I'm having issues. I've used discord for a while now and already have an account. Its already connected to my patreon account. I tried to unlink the accounts the re-link them and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Looking forward to seeing you cover American Werewolf, Beetlejuice and Halloween. So glad you put Halloween back on the list. Would love to see you cover the Japanese original Ju-On (The Grudge) & Ringu (The Ring) at some point. Would be great to see your take on foreign horror films

Katie Kooleyes

The Poughkeepsie Tapes is one that really got me.

Greg McDaniel

New movies from Nightmare series are comedy :) but original is very good horror. When I saw for first time as young dont want much sleep several days. because of the story, I consider him a good horror movie. This list definitely not for Cassie..

David Hron

I'd love to see her (and Carly) do a reaction vid to The Grudge and The Ring, but those might be too traumatic for them. Would be cool if they gave it a shot though.

Johnny

the eye , the original oriental version ,not the horrible american remake

Mike Lipke

Nightmare on Elm Street is practically a comedy

Myles Away

Mirrors is freaking awesome!!!!!!

William Bryan

David Hron

You are gonna LOVE "The Invisible Man" as well as "An American Werewolf in London"

Everyone's different. Since I have no belief in the supernatural, werewolves, vampires, demons, ghosts, etc. don't do much for me - though I can appreciate the artistic merits of, say, The Shining or The Exorcist. But Halloween (1978) is the scariest horror film I've ever seen, because it could happen (though the ending delves a bit into quasi-supernatural stuff). Just my 2 cents. Can't wait to see Cassie react to my favorite horror flick (and one of my favorite movies, period).
