Rocky - Full Reaction

I grew up watching boxing starting in the early 70s and through the 80s. As a kid, I was fascinated by Muhammad Ali boxing. Then, as a young adult, I was stunned by Mike Tyson boxing.

Simply amazing...here I am watching ROCKY for the 30th ?? time...and it's still as good as ever..if not better...and it's amazing, as Cassie has pointed out, that it is the same actor we watch for all those years. And not just Stallone but the guy Rocky fights in beginning of the movie is the same guy that gets a job washing dishes and eventually leading Rocky in prayer before the fight in ROCKY BALBOA. Now THAT is continuity.

Great Reaction, Cassie. It was so much fun watching your reaction during the fight. I couldn't even watch the fight. You were so funny. You could feel every punch. This is not a movie about a boxer. It's a movie about a man who happens to box and how he is fighting to make a life for himself and fighting to get the woman he loves. Great movie. I think Rocky II is my favorite.

Cassie! Your reaction at the end when the credits started to roll was priceless. Did you know that Sylvester Stallone wrote this movie and it won best picture in 1976. Fun fact: they filmed the fight backwards with all the prosthetics on their faces to make them look swollen and bloody at the end and they would take layers off until it looked like the beginning of the fight before they were hit in the face. It was easier that way rather than add the prosthetics

Great reaction Cassie. You def have to continue with this Franchise. There are six Rocky movies and two spinoffs ( Creed, and Creed 2) Fun Fact; "Eye of the Tiger" doesn't come in until Rocky 3. But the score in this one is also very iconic.

One of my favorite movie series of all time. Sure, the movies get campier as the series goes, but in my opinion; Rocky, Rocky 2 and Rocky Balboa are must watches. Rocky 3 and 4 are awesome for a different reasons but I still highly recommend them. For more top tier Stallone acting, I'd give First Blood a try. The rest of the Rambo movies are pretty forgettable, but the first one is amazing.

I'd venture to say you like the movie, based on your reaction. I had a crush on Adrian when I saw this as a kid, and still do. She's in The Godfather, which I presume is on your list. Someone should put together a montage of Cassie's reactions to horror movies, showing how she's toughened up to the genre over time, and set that to the music played during Rocky's montage scenes of training. Then, Cassie can finish it up with the main event: The Exorcist. All she has to do is go the distance and watch the whole 2 hours. Seeing as how Rocky had Micky in his corner, Cassie can bring along support. It will be epic! Has to be the Director's Cut of the movie though. Seriously though, hope to see Rocky II, Rocky III come up in your list soon.

I’m kinda wondering how you made it this long without seeing it….but thinking about it…I think the fact that I’m older…wait for it I’m gonna say something different…makes a difference because I was around when it was first out and it was everywhere. I really hadn’t intended on seeing because I just wasn’t that in to watching two guys stand and beat each other up…but everyone I knew (even our minister) saw it more than once. I didn’t see it in theaters but I was over at someone’s house and ot came out that I hadn’t seen it…the entire family (both parents, all six kids and girlfriends/boyfriends) came in and watched it while I saw it for the first time. I was surprised i liked it so I did see the second and third in theaters. Fun watching you see it the first time. A guilty pleasure I guess.

The guy who came into the ring "Joe Frazier" to meet the boxer's was the Heavy weight champion of the world. He beat Ali. Neither actors were pro boxers, but got a lot of training from pros for this film. Loved your reaction, so many hidden gems like this film out there for you :)

You will love Rocky 2, and will enjoy 3 and 4, but I'd stop after 4. Rocky 4 ends the movies on a good note.
