Quick Update

Hey guys, I am currently out of town and won't be able to post Wizard of Oz until Sunday and Episode V until Monday. I'll post them ASAP, thanks for your understanding and patience!

Comments

Cassie, I have trouble seeing what color your eyes are, but I think they are blue. They are captivating. The only reason I bring this up is that in May, 1969, I met a girl working behind the refreshment counter at a drive-in theater. She had the most beautiful blue eyes and when I looked into them, I knew my life would never be the same again. On May 30, 1970, those blue eyes smiled at me as she said "I do." Now, 51 years later, when I look into those eyes, they are just as blue and just as beautiful, and I know God has truly blessed me. Just wanted to share this story and thank you for your honest, emotional and, yes, even sometimes funny reaction to these movies.

Why is this post still up? -James

james flack

No, it's not just you - it's me too :-)

Dean A

You should check out Rocky 1. You’d enjoy it! Even has a little love story too 🙃

Chad Bailey

I have deleted every one of my past comments, can you now please delete this one? I know when I don't fit in.

james flack

An American Werewolf in London (1981) is a good one for Halloween. Phantasm (1979) is not as mainstream, but is a lot of fun.

Dan Waller

Why do you always sign your name when it already says what your name is right above your post? And the comments asking our host where she is, when she's getting home, why she hasn't gotten home yet, talking about wearing clothing with her face on it, etc., etc., just strikes me as borderline creepy and perhaps inconsiderate to our host. But whatever. Write what you like I guess, it's not my page. I'll just tune out going forward

Patrick Flanagan

Yeah sure, that's great. [backs away slowly]

Patrick Flanagan

When he asked if he ever raped any of them one said "no but I know you, there's worse"

William Bryan

He had a harem. Do you think those women were into it?

Patrick Flanagan

Do you watch the show? Negan despised rapists

William Bryan

The torturing, mass murdering rapists? Uh, okay, thanks for sharing.

Patrick Flanagan

Show is pretty realistic though on what might happen in an apocalyptic type world. The Governor and Negan are the types people would be drawn to. Both increbibly smart. Js

William Bryan

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that ten years of zombies eating people, children dying, and all of our main characters having regular nervous breakdowns before dying one by one would not be enjoyable for her to watch.

Patrick Flanagan

Indeed Krusty. "This is punishment"

William Bryan

You’ll know exactly where I’m at in the series. In case others haven’t gotten that far I’ll be vague!🤣 In the town….when looks like Carl may or may not be a goner….and this crazy WILD animal comes out of nowhere to save the day. That sound familiar?😀

Krusty “Topher”

Not as many as you might think. Trust me on this one

William Bryan

spoilers bro

Jake H

"Gonna be pee pee pants city here real soon" Best line in the series

William Bryan

If their were two episodes I'd love for her to see it would be "Last Day On Earth" and "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be" just to see her reactions lol

William Bryan

Hahaha. Chances of her watching that series are slim to none anyway lol

William Bryan

Oh Negan saved the series. After Rick slit Negan's throat though it just gotten boring. I found Alpha and the Whisperers annoying as hell.

William Bryan

I got stuck at the prison cause it seemed to take forever. Missed a couple seasons. Friend convinced me to get through the prison and it would get good again. He was right! I stopped again though somewhere in the Negun days

Krusty “Topher”

Am I the only one who would love to see Cassie's reactions to the first seven seasons of The Walking Dead? The prison, the Governor, Terminus, Negan, etc

William Bryan

How about "13 Ghosts" (1960)? When it came out in theaters the audience was given red goggles and blue goggles. One made the ghost visible and the other hid them. If she would prefer a movie with more comedy than horror, there is "Arsenic and Old Lace."

Charles Mills

Please stop. These posts are getting more and more cringeworthy.

Patrick Flanagan

One movie that has come to my mind I think Cassie would enjoy is The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. Damn good suspense movie but not too terribly scary.

William Bryan

Rose Red is classic. Most of Stephen King's made for TV movies are pretty good.

William Bryan

Hopefully she's watching the 1963 version of "The Haunting." Other "haunted house" movies that are worth watching are 1973's "The Legend of Hell House," and 2002's made-for-TV movie of Stephen King's "Rose Red." Personally, I'd skip the 1999 remake of "The Haunting," but that is just me.

Joseph Krider

Hi Cassie! I’m a new member. What are you watching for Halloween?

Dan Waller

Cassie have you seen Joker?

William Bryan

If you ever feel like another WW2 Flick could I recommend Generation War? A German mini series (About 6 hours in total) following the story of 5 German friends from 1941 to the end of the war in 1945. One experienced Wehrmacht Officer, His Brother a fresh new recruit, A military nurse, A singer and her Jewish Boyfriend.

coreymcrann

what was #1? To Kill A Mockingbird?

Mark M

This group of patreons continues to impress me with their knowledge and appreciation of film.
