I really loved The Untouchables.

Zodiac was very intense…

Hey Matthew, welcome! I just made a new post with a bracket update, but you should be able to click the "Vote Now" link in this post!

Cassie

Hi Cassie, hi guys. Sorry, I new to this - how do I vote? The Departed is one of Top 3 all-time fave movies!

Matthew Lyttle

These were nominated by YouTube subscribers.

Catherine LW

Yeah I’ve been busy reading the patreon’s comments I’m trying my best to vote the man who started the Suspense genre Mr. Hitchcock himself

Patrick - I think it must have been frustration to watch. But I heard the series finale got record ratings for the time. I don't recall much about the series. It ran in the mid 1960's when I was in elementary school. I used to love it when my grandfather babysat me - he'd let me stay up an extra half hour to watch "The Honeymooners."

Charles Mills

I recall some bits of "The Zodiac Killer" (1971) but not the newer movie.

Charles Mills

Love the Fugitive so much. Tommy Lee Jones character had a massive impact on me as a child lol. Also loved the dynamics of his team and how they actually seemed like a tight knit group of family/friends, and not a bland group of TV cops.

Man, we're riding on a knife's edge here... I'm either going to be ecstatic about the winners or have absolutely no interest. For whatever reason, most of the movies in the main bracket that made it this far I have very strong, contrarian opinions of. Fingers crossed for Il Monstro.

Derrick C. Shields

I haven't heard much about the original tv series but i do remember they tried to reboot the series again years ago.

Patrick Toscano

THE FLY is straight up Sci-Fi body Horror and I don't know why Patreons think it just a thriller.

Jack the Narrator

I vaguely recall the TV series.

Charles Mills

Cassie, yes. It's about the Zodiac killer.

Mr. Writhms

is it about the zodiac killer?

Cassie

One of mine as well.

Patrick Toscano

Yes. One of my favourite movies. Still keeping my fingers crossed it will sneak out a win.

Björn Von Knorring

The Game deserved a lot better IMO.

Alyssa Anderson

one of my favorite films!

Logan Sandoval

Kurosawa is fantastic. High and Low being one of my favorite non samurai films from him. I think Seven Samurai, Rashomon and throne of blood would all be good starters.

Bret

Fingers crossed that the fugitive gets a viewing. I rarely hear people talk about it.

Patrick Toscano

Children of Men!

Lemuel Daher

The entire samurai/western trope films are amazing. But not really 'entry-level' film studies? I do home she watches them, though, they are almost perfect films... Rashomon is basically a blueprint for so many films made after it. Seven Samurai (and the Magnificent 7) is a story trope used over and over (see The Mandalorian episode 4, SE01 for a current example) and seeing it's masterful depiction by Kurosawa is just perfection.

Jon Johns

Omg, you should watch some of these!

Jon Johns

If you ever get around to older foreign films, I'd love to see you react to some of the Kurosawa pictures. "Seven Samurai" is one of my favorite movies ever. On the long side, so it might need to be a two-part situation (has an intermission, so there's a natural break if you do this), but it's worth it. "Yojimbo" is also a great one.

TheToweringOtakunt

No Cassie, Fargo vs Sicario is NOT better than Fargo vs No Country! sadness intensifies

Dirk Rheeder

Brian De Palma didn't make the cut? (pun intended) "Dress To Kill" (1980) "Blow Out" (1981) "Body Double" (1984)

Mr. Writhms

half I never heard of so voted for only what I knew, then never heard of momento or zodiac so didn't vote
