I waited until I was 35 to watch it because of what I had heard about it , and I actually regret not seeing it sooner. I love the themes, the acting ( I mean it has the absolutely fantastic Max Von Sydow in it) all around , especially Linda Blair. Great soundtrack " Tubular Bells" in completion is wonderful. It is truly a Great movie, and Horrifying!

@Damien, I saw the cleaned up tv version of The Exorcist when I was in high school and it scared the life out of me. I remember not being able to sleep because I was so terrified. And that was the edited for tv version!

I mean. I think John Wick is cool, But it's a bit of vilonce porn. It's a kill a minute. Terminator is way less killing. I think Terminator falls into the Jurassic Park camp. It's more suspenseful. We'll see how she reacts. Anyway, it's always fun to watch react.

I think CAssie will surprise you. She liked "Snatch". So when Cassie gets it, she gets it for sure. I think she will like Terminator. Especially Terminator 2

She said she is not ready for it, not that she would never see it. Two different things, she said maybe wait until she is more used to the horror genre. Plus she is trying to open her eyes to the classics. I am willing to wait until she is more comfortable , but is he never watches it, and I do not know if you have ever seen it, it will be a shame! It is actually much deeper than most people give it credit for, it is actually great. Is it Scary? Yes! Is it more, absolutely. One of the best movie critics out there Mark Kermode calls it the best movie ever made! I disagree with that, but it is amazing.

"Minority Report" surpasses most of the sci-fi in this contest-- in story, direction, pace, and acting in my opinion. Yet it didn't make it passed the first round? In fact "Blade Runner" and "Minority Report" are based on stories by the same author! *Hands covering face dramatically* Whyyyyyyy?! 😭 Too many great movie casualties. 😔

Blade Runner is slower for sure. More art than thrill maybe. Hopefully she's intrigued enough for the sequel which in many ways is superior.

Looks like Terminator is going to get the win. I thought for sure Bladerunner would walk away with it. You'll probably like Terminator more than Bladerunner anyway. It's faster paced and is a lot easier to follow. Bladerunner can kind of drag.

Ehh, not a huge Blade Runner fan, I figured it would give Predator a problem getting to the finals. Almost called it with that and Terminator, still surprised Total Recall didn’t make the contest.

Even though Close Encounters lost, I still highly recommend you put it on the list of things to watch. I believe this is definitely your kind of movie, or at least one you would enjoy. Once Terminator wins, which it will inevitably do, please try to watch Terminator 2. It achieved one of the most difficult feats, in which the squeal was better than the original. Very few franchises pull this off. But then stop, the rest don't exist!

Off topic, but I noticed none of the people I am subscribed to for movie reactions has done a full reaction for "The Exorcist". It's as-if the first one who does the reaction will become a pioneer in my circles, a legend among peers.I mean, yeah, it's downright scary, but it's one of those movies that you appreciate after the movie is over.
