Office Space (1999) - Full Reaction

Hey guys! I needed a comedy after all the epic/war shows and movies I've been watching lately. Hope you enjoy the full reaction! Thank you guys so much for being here and supporting the channel. <3 you all.

I've been trying to work on syncing these better. For some reason the timer can become off-set, so I've included an unblurred portion so you can get your copy synced. Sorry for the troubles!

Direct link in case the above player doesn't work.

Here is the YouTube edit for this movie.

Find your own copy to follow a long with.

Office Space (1999) - Full Reaction

I recommend Waiting, it’s hilarious, vulgar and charming. It’s The Hangover of the restaurant business.

I love Kung Fu. Great series. "The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." "I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I thought it could be." "I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man."

Clay F

Oh - and you definitely have to watch the original Superman movies with Christopher Reeve. I actually enjoy Superman III, but it's got a very different tone than the first two. Fun though!

This is the first time I watched a film I've never seen before with your movie reaction. It's fun! So glad I'm self employed after watching this movie. (Although I actually do wear a vest with a bunch of Disney pins and cartoon buttons - but it's by choice, so I don't mind my flare :))

Michael Jung

Thanks so much! Admittedly I was probably being cranky. I'm sure I can make it work.

There is a timer. You can also just start your own copy when she starts hers. It's pretty easy to keep synchronized, if your copy gets ahead or behind for whatever reason, just hit pause then play quickly on the copy that is ahead, to allow the other to catch up.

John

Maybe... Some kind of countdown so we can watch our own copy? :)

Thomas Tallant

Sorry Thomas, I wish I could continue doing these without blurring or muting, but with copyright laws I'm not allowed.

Cassie

I love your reaction videos and subscribed. I understand copywrite issues. I have no interest in watching zero video/zero audio reactions. :(

I watched this movie and found it funny. I then got an office job and re-watched this film. I died.

"We need to talk about your flair." "We want you to express yourself." "I want you to want to do the dishes!"

Loving your reaction videos, I do have three suggestions they maybe have been suggested I haven't read every comment. But the top three movies ever made, far as I'm concerned anyway. 1 Ask the dust personally think you'll love this one, hands down most underrated movie ever. 2 The Book Thief, and 3 Braveheart

My weekend has started at this point but I was sitting at my desk at work six hours ago and you better believe there's a fire engine red swingline stapler sitting on that desk.

Hi, Cassie. I was a tech writer for a large corporation when Y2K rolled around, and remember formatting some procedures written as possible work-arounds just in case computer glitches arose from the change from December 1999 to January 2000. Fortunately, ours was a much better working environment. Not perfect. Just a lot better. I really enjoyed this movie, and your reaction. I had never seen it before either. Office Space took common problems associated with corporate office workplaces, and stretched the reality to create a funny and clever storyline. As always, loved your reaction.

Classic movie

Nice! Btw, if you wanna know who Michael Bolton is, the most fun way is to check out his collaboration with Andy Samberg and Lonely Island on the comedy song, "Jack Sparrow." Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI6CfKcMhjY

Depending on the NLE suite being used, it's perfectly fine for the source frame rate of the reaction to be higher (i.e. 00 to 59, indicating 60Hz). The NLE will repeat the frames of the movie as necessary using 3:2 pulldown or frame blur. You do have to be a bit careful not to drag the handles on the clip in the timeline, or type a fixed length into the "Speed..." dialogue, but that just requires care. Of course, the editor needs to synch their reaction in the NLE as well, and I just watched Airplane (which is unblurred, but I still watched along on a NTSC DVD copy) and I got the impression that the reaction is just a bit ahead of the movie... probably only 0.1 s though, but it seems to me at least that the laughs are just a bit ahead of where I was expecting them. ;) No complaints though. It's all good! Thanks for presenting these at such a high quality, and I am sorry if you are getting burned by "the management" or whoever thinks they own people's rights to enjoy these movies in whatever way.

Oh yeah, and there is 4K, but that will be 2160p24 or 2160p25. Also, the timecode may not be very helpful unless the person is watching the same media. For example, my Lord of the Rings is split over two discs, and sometimes the studio logos and black portions are different lengths. Also, an RSDL DVD layer change may hold a frame for anything between 0.75 and 1.5 s depending on the player.

(tldr: I wouldn't change a thing. It synced perfectly for me...) I have an NTSC DVD, which plays at 29.97 fps with 3:2 pulldown, then converted back to 24Hz by the decoder in the TV. Blurays on the other hand play back at 1080p24 unless you tell the player to do something else. If you have a recording from a TV channel, you may have 1080p25. i.e. sped up by 4%. (Europe and Australia.)

Omg what a nostalgia trip 😁 Haven’t seen this movie in nearly 10 years!

This film is life changing. You'll never look at a stapler the same way again! 🤣🤣🤣

It is possible the de-sync is occurring because of a difference in frame rate. For the Lord of the Rings reaction for example would slowly get out of sync by a couple seconds after 20-30minutes. I was watching the movie in its native 24 frames per second, whereas, your reaction video is at 30fps. If it's possible for your camera to record at 24fps (or export the video in 24fps), that may help prevent desyncing with others who are viewing the movies in their native framerate. Though having a physical copy of a film will likely always be 24fps, I'm uncertain which streaming services, if any, will stream movies at their native framerate instead of 30fps. The issue may just be the difference in frame rate of your reaction video (30fps) and the movie, if it is at 24fps.
