EVERYONE PLEASE READ: Changes to Patreon

Hey guys!

I recently sent out a survey to some of you asking some questions in regards to my Patreon. Thank you for filling it out and giving your honest opinions and suggestions.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to make changes to the way my full-length reactions are posted here on Patreon (this only affects the Popped Corn w/ Salt and above tiers). Currently I provide the video/audio to the movie, and have my reaction in the corner. This is not allowed as it violates copyright laws, and I obviously don't want to be breaking the law and risking my Patreon/Channel being shut down.

The changes will include the following:

This is an example of what it will look like:

With that said, these changes will take place for all reactions moving forward starting May 1st. I have all my project files and video clips saved so I'll be slowly converting the past reactions to the new format. Also, I've enabled the ability to download all the reactions I currently have on my Vimeo account, so if there's anything you'd like to save, now's your chance!

I wanted to announce this before the new month comes and I completely understand if you don't want to be a patron moving forward, but these changes need to be made if I want to continue on this journey. I am so grateful for your support thus far and I really hope you continue with me - you guys make this whole thing worth it.  Hope you have a fantastic day.

-Cassie

Yes! It's encoding right now and just has to upload and optimize on vimeo. It'll probably be up in about an hour and a half to two hours.

Hi Cassie Since you’re not into Scary movies that much my top scary movies suggestions for you are interview with a vampire, Sleepy Hollow,2019 Scary stories to tell in the dark, 2010s Let me in

Eric

No I enjoyed it, but I was trying to curate this list for variety, and of that genre Sense and Sensibility is far and away my favourite.

CJGardner

If you're going to include Sense and Sensability on that list shouldn't you also suggest Pride and Prejudice? Or did you dislike that one?

Andrew Rose

I would love to see a reaction of The Shining or The Exorcist. Jurassic Park, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and The Big Lebowski would also be amazing. :]

Shaun2342!

Hi Cassie, I’d also like to suggest a list of movies that for one reason or another I think you’ll enjoy. This list is a bit on the lighter side overall, and for me they’re all repeat watches. Sorry in advance if you’ve either already seen any, or others have already made these suggestions. Sleepy Hollow (1999) - Johnny Depp/Tim Burton; spookily entertaining Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) - John Hughes; sincerely charming high school romance The ‘burbs (1989) - Tom Hanks/Ron Howard; underrated imo. Ridiculously fun, ‘scary’ neighbourhood comedy Big Night (1996) - Stanley Tucci; a 1950’s small, struggling L.A. restaurant’s love letter to Italian food Rear Window (1954) - Jimmy Stewart/Hitchcock; just the best old-school intriguing suspense, bonus gorgeous Grace Kelly Meatballs (1979) - Bill Murray; bawdy humour but also sweet coming-of-age at a summer camp LA confidential (1997) - Russell Crowe; terrific old-school intricately woven Film Noir Moulin Rouge (2000) - Nicole Kidman/Ewan McGregor; I assume you’ve seen this? If not, the most wonderfully over-the-top quirky melodramatic musical romance you could ask for! 9 to 5 (1980) - Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton; joyfully fun sticking-it-to-mysogynic-boss comedy Rosemary’s Baby (1968) - Mia Farrow/Roman Polanski; excellent psychological horror (no real gore) Sense & Sensibility (1995) - Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet; absolutely wonderful adaptation, funny, charming, poignant The Bourne Identity (2002) - Matt Damon; great globe-trotting action and kind of thriller The Fifth Element (1997) - Bruce Willis; fun and quirky sci-fi action adventure The Witches of Eastwick (1987) - Jack Nicolson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon; very fun witches dealing with a horny little Devil The Gentlemen (2019) - Guy Ritchie; if you liked Snatch I think you’ll quite like this one, very similar style The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) - Wes Anderson; very unusual and strangely entertaining family comedy/drama Under the Tuscan Sun (2003) - Diane Lane; lovely kind of unexpected Italian romantic adventure Working Girl (1988) - Melanie Griffith/Harrison Ford/Sigourney Weaver; classic 80’s smart girl from the working class side of town tries to make it in the big city The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005) - Steve Carrell; funny and silly humour but also quite charming and sweet

Great movie choices. The Cohen Brothers are fantastic.

Bret

have enjoyed your channel....seems like you aren't into dark scary movies but i'm suprised you haven't touched on the cohen brothers...either raising arizona or oh brother where art though are great happy movies. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind should be back on the poll...not the happiest, but man is it a great film that goes outside the box. the fountain is pretty spellbinding too.

Whenever possible,it would be great to have your Sister join you when you are watching chick flicks Thank you

Andrew

Thanks for getting back to me on this! I think you can probably guess where I stand on the idea of a re-watch - go for it! Though maybe as a compromise to the people who either don't want a re-watch or are MCU haters you could do like 1 or 2 movies a month? And then if it turns out to be popular you could increase the pace. Just throwing out some ideas, I know it must be hard trying to balance out all the different likes /dislikes people have.

Richard Maurer

Hey! So on the live stream Arrival thing lots of people asked about MCU, I have seen them, I even went to the 1am premiere of the last one and bawled when you know what. I asked on that live stream if I should react to them as a “second viewing” and it was about 50/50, some people said second viewing is better because you’re a little more familiar with characters and others said they were only interested in first timers! So i’m not quite sure if I will react to them or not. I did love the characters and thought most of them were wildly fun and entertaining!

Cassie

No worries.. you’re passionate about the MCU. Nothing wrong with that…. And like I said, I enjoyed some of them. As they went on, (and on and on, they really milked that cow) I came to like them more and more. And even tho I’m not a comic book guy, I found myself becoming invested In the characters. So by the time Endgame came out, not gonna lie, I got pretty emotional at that ending!

Jeff Milcheck

Didn't mean to come off as annoyed, sorry if I did. I was just explaining the history of my posts on the subject, and meaning to show I mostly agreed with you (I liked all of the MCU, and loved most of them). I'm sorry for not being clearer in my post.

Richard Maurer

Oh, dang! It’s my first day here. Don’t mean to ruffle any feathers… Good luck in your MCU quest.

Jeff Milcheck

Jeff Milcheck - I have posted basically this same comment of mine several times and have not gotten a reply one way or another, not that she owes me one, so I don't know if she's seen all, or some of them. or not. I also mentioned how they are very popular reaction draws on Youtube. It would be nice to know one way or another if she's seen them or not so I could stop posting about them, if not for any other reason.

Richard Maurer

As a quick ad on, just watched my first full length reaction along with you. Stand By Me. A childhood favorite. Left a comment under that video, but in case you don’t see, thank you for the video!

Jeff Milcheck

I’m surprised she hasn’t. I could go either way. I enjoyed some of them, others not so much… The only other person I follow on Patreon, “Brandon Likes Movies” was asked this too. But he replied he already saw them before he started his channel. And he was bummed about it.. As he stated, “Marvel movies, Star Wars, and Harry Potter reactions are the big cash cows on YouTube!”… If you have a lot of followers, you’re almost guaranteed a million likes with those films!

Jeff Milcheck

Just joined your Patreon. Ive come across a few of your videos on YouTube over the past year and enjoyed them, but your Lord Of the Rings videos sealed the deal and decided I had to join. Looking forward to watching along! And I know I’m new, so probably shouldn’t be making suggestions already, but I highly recommend the films of Paul Thomas Anderson! I think he’s the best director working today….. anyways, cheers! Let’s watch some movies! 🍿🎥

Jeff Milcheck

Cassie, you should really watch the Marvel (MCU) movies. After seeing how much you liked LotR, I really think you would like them too.
