In trying to participate as much as a white, upper middle class, hetero, blue eyed, blond haired guy can in the MeToo moment that is happening, I've had conversations with the people in my life about their experiences. A female family member has a perspective that was eye-opening; She told me how stressful it is feeling like she needs to constantly moderate men's tendency to violence by changing her behavior. Not just strangers, but her male family members, boyfriends, etc. She told me she wouldn't tell her bf about some by being a jerk because she was afraid her bf might start a fight. And if something did escalate to violence it was her fault for not defusing the situation by comporting herself into whatever she thought the men needed to see/hear to ease up. I don't want to generalize her feelings to all women, but it was a revelation; it made so much sense and I was so shocked it hadn't occurred to me before even though of my self a considerate person. I thought I'd share my relative's perspective to give guys who are decent people something to think about.

Just watched the snap (didn't reply on there because I'm awks haha) and damn that was an emotional rollercoaster. What a dickweed. I don't blame you for not moving in there tbh after that. Maybe he was good friends with the previous Tennant's that had to move out and they ended up not being able to find a place or something, which would explain some of the anger he had towards your family. I'm really glad you're safe Belle, take it easy for a while and get your head in the right space again. Remember nothing is bad forever, what seems crap now will change eventually and things will be looking up again :)

Weed can make peoples eyes dilute so he might of been high.

Surprisingly it's not actually a bad neighbourhood but drugs is an issue here. But he had just come back from 'Octoberfest' apparently so he was probably drunk. He could walk fine but his eyes were diluted . I can't really tell the difference between drugged up and drunk tho

Yeah I'm currently looking for a place. I'm having to stay at my friends with my stuff in a suitcase because i dissembled my bed and it got damaged in the moving process and my room has no space to even put a mattress. So I'm trying to find a place asap
