Process Post - Charon / Female Lone Wanderer [Fallout 3]

Here's my step-by-step progression from thumbnail sketches to final, ft. some detail shots at various points of completion, as usual 😊

Some thoughts: I took a step back last month after my Nurgle piece and looked over a bunch of my older work just to get my bearings, and I found some specific areas of my process I wanted to tweak. I noticed over the last 6 months or so that my linework was getting thicker in places (which I don’t mind on principle! I actually really love that in other folks’ art) - but the chunkier outlines especially were starting to bug me without me fully realizing it. I dialed it back juuust a little for this piece and I’m already so much happier with how things turned out, haha. I’m not sure it’s even all that noticeable to the casual observer and I might sound neurotic lmfao, but still 😂

I also made a point to focus a bit more on the cum/fluid textures, and I’m happier with the outcome here. Just a bit more blending and other little tweaks to make it more interesting to look at. Planning to push that a little further in future works, do some studies, etc.
