Nothing too major, and makes sense for time and pacing with the episodes it would have taken place, but the main thing is you don't get a proper introduction that happens in the light novel. The knight that was protecting the girl Eris saved is Rudy's aunt, Zenith's sister. In the show, Paul gave Rudy a letter of introduction to use when they reached the port town to take the boat to the central continent. In the light novel, Ruijerd knows someone in the city and gets a letter of introduction from them. When they get to the port town the man in charge refused to accept the letter. Therese was essentially demoted after the attack, and was working there. She managed to get them through, and also spent time all over Rudy and doting on him as his aunt.
