It truly was out of respect because tosen asked aizen to kill him if he ever felt like he was straying away from his justice for his friend. He knew he'd never be accepted back into the soul society or hueco mundo and felt death was the best option. The man who killed his friend was a noble and was able to get away from any justice, he even admitted to tosen that he killed her after pretending to be her friend and was mourning with tosen, that guy is truly evil and plays a big role in one of the novels.

It’s the Halloween special. Maybe after you catch up with everything bleach if you still wanna watch more you can take recommendations for filler to watch. There’s even more hot guys to come. This is how it usually is but they look even better in the manga. Maybe some people can post manga panels of stuff you already saw. There’s already been some posts like that in the discord channel but you prolly haven’t seen them for fear of spoilers. But in like the last 20 posts I checked there’s no spoilers for anything.

He's very arrogant so it shouldn't be too hard to take advantage of that. Edit: I am a pretty emotional person as well, I cry at things but for some reason Tousen's death didn't make me that sad. Personally I think it's more tragic, but not exactly sad. It's hard to explain how I feel about it, but I can see why people would feel sad about this situation.
