2025-05-15 15:46:03 +0000 UTCI don't know if anyone said it yet but the anime added in a bunch of padding to loads of scenes. Occasionally they add something good but mostly it's a bit dumb what they do. For example that one scene with nnoitra the hard skin piano teeth espada and orihime saying "kurosaki-kun" over and over it was way shorter in the manga and less repeating. They needed to extend the scene to pad out but they didn't bother writing any new lines so they just repeated it over and over. Another one is this fight. Omaeda vs the mammoth guy. In the manga the mammoth guy dies when his friend throws soifon into him. In the anime they extended that fight so much. Which you might not think is a big deal but when you find out some of the cool stuff they didn't bother adding anything to its a bit insulting. That's why even though it has some pluses a lot of fans are salty about the old anime. They make some very dumb choices. Also that weird soul reaper with the rice hat is complete filler he doesn't exist in the manga. No idea why they added him in it serves no purpose and ruined some scenes hes inserted into.
