Priscilla heavily hinted at the fact that her group was behind the killing of the people who knew about the location of the Witch's remains. Lust being suspicious that Al was part of that all but confirms it. Something else that was interesting was when Al cut Lust, he said 汚い花火だ or as the translation says, "filthy fireworks" which a pretty well-known line by Vegeta when he killed someone in Dragonball Z. It could just be a reference, as Dragonball is very influential in Japanese media, but Re:Zero's writing is very intentional. Usually Subaru makes references to our world and it's lost on everyone else. I'd be willing to bet that Al was also isekai'd. It would also explain why he tried to talk sense into Subaru before the speech. I think Al became infaturated with Priscilla after coming to this world much the same way as Subaru did. I could be reaching a bit here, but it seems like that line was dropped in as a hint.

Also it's insane that he got thrown to the fucking moon and still made it back. Insane how broken this guy is. Edit: I also have no basis on this but remember how the witch of Gluttony created the Mabeasts and the whale could erase people's existence, just like the Archbishop. Well It seems the archbishops and witches probably share a similar ability or something. This can be confirmed by us seeing Carmilla transfrom into Rem in season 2 for Subaru. She more or less seemed to have done that by somehow reading his heart or mind or something and picked a person that they cared about a lot. Same could be said here with the archbishop of Lust transforming into Priscilla in front of Al. She even says that she hasn't met her or been even aware of her, so you could think that she just read Al's mind/heart and transformed into someone he cared about.
