Hey folks,
It's time for a new game progress report.
Disclaimer: I'm posting these to be transparent on game development and show progress done. However, it goes without saying that some of the stuff you see here may be considered to be spoilers. Although I do my best to keep the big narrative points out (and believe me, there is a lot I would like to show, but that I'm leaving out for you to find and experience in game).
Since this month was a shorter month, my focus was on 3072AD exclusively. I will resume work on Squeal little piggy next month though, as I'll get the 2-3 extra days of a regular month then.
This month's progress update is mostly about new image assets drawn for the game. For both the Barb Warrior Ash path, and early work for the upcoming Splatter remaster.
So let's begin.

- 3072 AD: Warrior path for Barb—bad end images -
Although the Warrior Ash path for Barb is not the "main" path and thus won't be as detailed in content, I still want this to be a juicy patch.
Therefor, you will get two possible endings on the Warrior Ash path when facing Barb. A "bad" ending and a "not so bad" ending. Depending on how you look at it.
This month I finished drawing the image for the "bad ending" scene.
To avoid spoiling too much, I'm only going to post the first one here, but It gives you a good idea of where this is going:

I also started doing the block and line work for the "Goodish" ending, but didn't finish shading it because I got sick yesteraday. So I'll finish that one next month.
- 3072 AD: Splatter Remaster -
Last month, I teased you an Image of Splatter charging, to be used for her main Charge attack.
My focus right is still to make new image assets for the "battle" sequence against Splatter. To make it more fun, but also easier for the player to read her attacks and act accordingly.
With that in mind, I have made a basic "battle" pose, with different variations to flavor the combat and improve the experience.
These will allow you to see when she's preparing for an attack, a grab, a charge.
Also, you'll notice that there is a version where the cap is no longer on her head.
There is a reason for that as well, but I won't spoil it yet.

With this done, my plan is to draw her "holding" a punching bag as she did in the original fight. But make it more fun and easy to understand what's going on.
I will also change the design of the punching bondage bag to make it more elegant and cool-looking.
The other things to do image-wise for the battle scene are a chockhold move of her on Ash and a remake of the gut punch. Once these are done, all the image assets needed for her battle sequence rework will be in place.
That said, next month, I will actually focus more on remaking Splatter's level. (There will be the main battle ring, but I'm adding a "training floor where the bulk of the "story content" will take place. You'll have extra side characters there, along with interesting sprites, storage cells, training tools, etc...)
Without going too much into details, the warrior Ash part with Barb may involve you going back to that level depending on your choice.
So it's important that this level is done before the Warrior Ash Barb Path. And it will give you a little tease of the new level for Splatter once she is done.
- Conclusion -
In regards to the Warrior Path for Barb, you can still look forward to some juicy extra perils to enjoy. When the "good" ending scene is drawn and finished, I'll just have to write the events, story etc... And make Barb's VR replay options to wrap her up.
By the time I finish this (no ETA just yet, but I'm hopeful for April or June), a lot of progress for Splatter will have been made, giving me a good jump start to get it done for the middle to later half of the year).
As for Squeal little piggy, my plan is still get a playable patch some time this year.
