Changes to the Monthly Process

I will have to cut my pledge soon if this keeps going and I think a lot of other people have the same problem. This would make it possible for us to keep supporting you :)

Hey Gabe, I recommend going over to MakerSupport: <a href="https://www.makersupport.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.makersupport.com/</a> They do not have these changes and do not have sexual content behind a paywall (at least, as far as I am aware). If you go there, I will support you with the same amount that I do now (maybe more). I know how unfair Patreon is being to its creators and its patrons, so please consider this alternative :D

after the changes that patreon did to their payment policy, i can't continue supporting you anymore as i am force to pay $5 another creator my the name Dystopian projects, they are going to remove the $1 tier.

the main problem would be to PROVE it. without it where just dismissed as just some nutz on the net. but i do agree it does seam fishy but this seems to burn Patreon and its users then anything else.....makes me wonder why they didn't test this first by having a few people volunteer to try it out for a few months and have some tell there people and some not. though its a little scummy it would provide the date be4 doing something this bat shit crazy

Even if that were true, PayPal would be to blame if they bully Patreon into giving them more money or force cutting them off. x3

I smell a conspiracy theory there then.. It's no secret that PayPal has had a strict non-erotic policy for years, perhaps the recent Patreon policy changes was made to satisfy a possible PayPayl partner? Something stirs within me, the urge for rebellion and freedom..

It's the reverse, it's the smaller $1 pledges that'll suffer most and larger $10+ being less impacted. But I've been seeing some details/numbers about this change and Patreon themselves earn exactly the same with this new fee processing method compared to the old one, the winner is, oddly enough, PayPal.

It all adds up.. especially if supporting multiple creators. Let's say someone supports 20 creators with $1 a month.. due to the new pledge policy the monthly cost would be around $28. 7-8 bucks doesn't sound like much, but if the budget is tight enough, it would mean 8 creators would have to loose his or hers pledge.

at small amounts its not bad (im a 10 bucker) but it will stop people from doing the larger amounts

First they make harsh censorship on erotica, then install an extra fee on all Patrons, which in some, if not many, cases will force Patrons to cancel pledges to creators. Especially if supporting many creators with a small ammount every month. Personally I have a small budget for my support aid here, spread across more creators whom I had found "worthy" of my few dollars a month. Their new payment policy have already forced me to cancel some of those, heck I'm so mad at Patreon right now that I'm close to cancel on all of them. It's not the creators fault, but Patreon really treat their "costumers" badly! This creators haven has taken 2 really bad turns in the last few months. Censorship kills creativity, extra fees makes, or force, people to close their wallets. Nice work Patreon.. I wonder how long it will be, before someone creates a similar site, just more open minded and dedicated towards the erotic game genre, as well as less expensive for patrons and creators alike? Then Patreon can be as puritan & greedy as they like, because all the cool adults would shift to such competitor site.

All companies have investors, it's just a matter of whether it's a publically available investment or if it is a private invitation only investment (typically a small group of people who are close to the investment's original goal).

Does Patreon even have investors, though? I don't think they are on the stock market, so it shouldn't matter beyond on a personal level.

And could easily go on to hurt creators thanks to lost patronage.
