POLL: How to handle TIGHT LEATHER custom gifs
Added 2020-05-07 06:40:14 +0000 UTCOK, so I'm just about caught up with everybody's Tight Leather tier gifs, and a solid week of doing this has shown me that it just isn't sustainable. I've been so busy creating the private gifs that I haven't had time to work on anything else, including new stories or the gifs I'd share here on my Patreon. The custom gifs have basically become a full-time job and when I break it down I'm probably earning like a buck an hour. It's been suggested to me that I start a new tier for the custom gifs, starting at $20 or more, but I really don't want to do that. Having introduced them as a perk for people in the $10 tier, I'd feel cruddy about raising the price on them. But something's gotta change, I can't go on like this.
So, a poll. Here are some options I'm considering, and it would be very helpful if you'd vote or comment to let me know what you think is the best path moving forward.

Yeah I don’t envy the position your in. For me, I wouldn’t feel comfortable participating in the public gif option, not that I blame you since that seems like a reasonable solution. Maybe a public gif tier, and then a private tier above that, but limit the amount of people that can subscribe to the private tier?
2020-05-08 02:08:55 +0000 UTCI'm ready to pay dearly for a custom gif ! Hire an intern, can I be your intern ? ahah

2020-05-08 00:23:21 +0000 UTCI'd be willing to pay 20$ for the gifs but I wouldnt want them shared online. Maybe you could do public gifs for 10$ and private for 20?

2020-05-07 22:15:51 +0000 UTCI think I'll either create a new tier or make them public gifs only. I'm still deciding which.

2020-05-07 20:07:16 +0000 UTCI'm sorry (and a little surprised) to hear you felt like you weren't getting enough content here. I usually post 3+ gifs per week, plus other goodies. I've looked at other Patreons to try and figure out what the standard pace is, and it seems like a lot of people go WEEKS without posting new stuff! So I feel like at least I'm posting more than a lot of creators. But it's true, doing the custom gifs has really messed up my schedule. I hate offering a perk like that and then needing to revise it, I worry people will be disappointed or angry and I'll lose patrons, but I'm relieved to see that so far nobody has thrown a fit.

2020-05-07 20:05:25 +0000 UTCFor what you do, I'd say charge atleast 20$ and make sure you can use them for content as well. This is patreon and what you had currently was almost like a commission. This would serve both to decrease the amount of people so you would have less custom ones to do, as well as increase content by posting the custom ones you still do.

2020-05-07 16:14:07 +0000 UTCEven if you change the pricing or reward scheme, it sounds like this just takes up too much of your time. For those of us that are more interested in your stories or videos, if 90% of your time is done doing custom gifs thats essentially dead time. The opportunity cost of giving a cool reward to one person means leaving everyone else waiting. Also, I'd like to point out, you are still a recent patreon so a lot of people don't know what to expect from you yet in terms of output. This explains why things have been quiet lately, but for the record? Last month I was wondering if I was getting my money's worth because I felt like I wasn't seeing a lot of new content. I decided to give you more time because I have liked a lot of your work before, but seeming to not be producing is a real danger to a young patreon because it can drive people to unsubscribe. I would strongly suggest prioritizing content for the majority of the patreon over just one specific person.
