Extra Story: Quick Photo

Hi Hi ✨

How are you doing? I have been experimenting with multiple subject images, with quite the size difference. It's kinda hard, because there's so many variables that most often than not result in unusable images. But I will talk more about it on Friday's bts. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy this short story of a group of girls struggling to take a photo at a party and managing everyone to fit 😅.

"Oh come on, just one photo for the 'gram!" Sophia pleaded, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Fine, but who's going to take it?" Jessica asked, towering over her petite friend at 6'8".

Amelia, the tallest at 7'2", scanned the elegant ballroom. "What about Mark? He's got those long arms."

The trio, all clad in sleek black dresses, waved over their lanky friend. Mark approached, his eyes widening as he took in the sight of Jessica and Amelia's transformed physiques.

"Shit, girls," he muttered, "I'm still not used to you two being so... vast."

Sophia thrust her phone into Mark's hands. "Less gawking, more photographing, please!"

Mark fumbled with the device. "Right, err... how do I...?"

"Just press the big circle," Sophia sighed, positioning herself between her two towering friends.

Jessica and Amelia bent down, trying to fit into the frame. Their muscular shoulders pressed together, the fabric of their designer dresses straining audibly.

"Ow! Am, your elbow's in my ribs," Jessica winced.

"Sorry! It's not exactly easy to compact all this," Amelia gestured to her impressively muscled frame.

Sophia, sandwiched between them, wheezed, "Can't... breathe... too... much... woman..."

"Oh, sorry Soph!" They both straightened up, giving their petite friend some air.

Mark lowered the phone, looking perplexed. "I think I just got a great shot of your chins and Sophia's forehead."

"Let's try again," Sophia insisted. "Jess, you kneel on my left. Am, you kneel on my right. I'll stand in the middle."

They rearranged themselves, Jessica and Amelia's knees making divots in the plush carpet.

"Perfect!" Mark said, raising the phone. "Now smile!"

Just then, a waiter approached with a tray of hors d'oeuvres. "Canapé, ladies... and gentleman?"

Distracted, Amelia reached out, her hand easily spanning the entire tray. She paused, realising her faux pas. "I mean, just one, thank you."

The waiter nodded, scurrying away as soon as they'd made their selections.

"Alright, focus everyone," Sophia urged. "Mark, take the picture!"

As Mark was about to snap the photo, Jessica's strapless dress slipped down slightly. She quickly adjusted it, jostling Sophia in the process.

"Whoa!" Sophia yelped, stumbling backwards.

Amelia's lightning-fast reflexes kicked in. She reached out to steady Sophia, but misjudged her own strength. Instead of a gentle stabilising touch, she accidentally lifted Sophia clear off the ground.

"Am!" Sophia squeaked, now dangling a foot in the air, her legs flailing.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry!" Amelia carefully set Sophia down, smoothing out her friend's rumpled dress.

The four friends looked at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"Well," Jessica grinned, "I think we can safely say this photo op is a bust."

"Maybe we should just enjoy the party," Amelia suggested, still chuckling.

Mark nodded, handing the phone back to Sophia. "Agreed. But first, let's hit that chocolate fountain. I'm dying to see Am try to manoeuvre those dainty little skewers!"

As they made their way across the ballroom, turning heads and parting crowds, the four friends smiled. Despite the changes, some things - like the bond between best friends - remained perfectly the same.
