CYOA direction thread

Newest post is up for you guys https://www.patreon.com/posts/you-send-crystal-65434543

So I liked the idea of going into a VR fantasy game so we'll play around in here for a bit. Next post will likely involve some adventuring or finding gear so some questions;

Do we want a tanky paladin Crystal or try something else?

What kind of video game baddies do we want to face?

Do we want to go with a mass brainmushing videogame plot?

WHY IS SHE MISSING HER GEAR?

On the topic of enemies and the plot, I think we can weave those together. I don't think the game itself is meant to be hypno horny, but there's an AI running the game in the background that is programmed to basically keep things spicy, and THAT learned to be hypno-horny. So the game can start with the standard fair like slimes or bugs, but things are...different. the slimes are grabby, and the butterflies can put out clouds to make you sleepy. Then the pair runs into someone that's be hypnotized and converted into a monster (could be an old or new OC) and THEN the hypno horny brainmushing starts. EDIT: Other low levels can include bugs that can spit silk along with someone else's mentioned tangleweeds/little deku-scrub style weedlings, goblins are a classic, as would be frogs of various sizes (small ones being a pain to hit, big ones are classic DnD monsters, and you can also go for hypnotoad if you like, plus a frog girl later if you wanted).

As an idea if we want to take things slower, perhaps Crystal doesn't have starting gear because you have to basically finish choosing your class or specialization in game? I know it's not realistic to an MMO, but VR kink story. This gives us the chance to let Cyrstal model a few styles that can be voted on and lets us build a bit of rules/reference for the world. Such as protag mentioning Mesmerists or the like and Crystal going "Pft. NERD STUFF" EDIT: Or another way to think of it is it's a more FF14 model where job switching is more of a thing, so it makes sense to do it in game? Plus it lets you change up designs or introduce new elements when you feel like it.
