As some of you already know, I always try my best to bring you different concepts and possibly broaden your cultured horizons a bit.
Some of the posts leave better impression than others, since the majority of the general audience enjoys a more mainstream type of content, and while I don't try to "educate" anyone, I do want to highlight everything that is worth our attention out there, without discriminating.
But I won't lie, whenever I review projects that deviate a lot from the so-called "mainstream", I feel like I'm neglecting some of you, so here's something a lil' extra for everyone that I've been keeping tabs on, but didn't have the chance to share.
I'd first like to introduce to you the incredible artist behind Aurelia - one of my most favorite adventure / VN titles.
Each update of that beautiful project is a gift that doesn't stop giving, that a lot of it we owe thanks to Walnusstinte.
Walnusstinte excels at pixel art with retro elements that takes the older ones among us back to the 90's H titles that many were pixelated by default due to the technology at the time.
In my eyes that was quite a blessing, since many games back then felt more "authentic" when each piece of the project was given full attention to detail, instead of letting the editing software do half the work.
Walnusstinte updates their Twitter regularly with their own artwork (all Aurelia related) or highlighting other H artists. They also update their works (including stunning old ones!) on their Newgrounds account.
Speaking of Newgrounds, you should also check out their short and sweet platformer: "Ohro's Adventure" - released as an April Fools joke for Aurelia, which was surprisingly polished with a sweet reward at the end.
But that's not all! I'd like you to keep an eye on another promising project that I can't wait to fully review once it comes out supposedly this year: Scarlet Maiden by Otterside Games, published by Critical Bliss, who have released many adult hits to this day.
As of writing these lines, Scarlet Maiden shapes up to be the first competent H roguelike EVER made! With beautiful pixel art, legit gameplay with real depth and mechanics. (Can't speak for polish until it's out)
Nothing in the scene gets me more excited than a high production action game. It genuinely has the literal feeling to me of finding a gem in the rough.
With the ever-inflating low effort titles, projects like these always light up my day, and hopefully yours too!
Otterside Games are keeping a devlog on Twitter that you should totally check out if you like what you see on their Steam page.

I'd also like to take this moment to thank everyone once again for allowing this blog to exist.
From a side hobby I've become a lot more involved with the deeper levels of the H gaming scene, and it's thanks to you who allow me to spend the time researching and pulling out these gems out of the swamp.
