Will's Cheat Sheet (ch. 120)

People were asking what he could do, so I spent some time this morning putting this together by bouncing through and compiling info to create a character sheet. I tossed in a few of my calculations for various Abilities too, so they hopefully make more sense.

Some of this will probably go into a character sheet at the end of the fight, so if there are any glaring errors or things you find confusing, or feel were left out...lemme know.

Without Further Ado:

Macro’s PHANTOM HAND NOTES

Phantom hand increases relic potency by 1% per Acu

The set item in phantom Hand can count as more than one worn item depending on Phantom hand’s current multiplier, but the set bonus will not be affected. (c’mon guys, that’s ridiculous)

Phantom Hand moves at 6fps/acu (%modified by rogue potency upgrades.) (speed as of Ch. 120 = 1044 fps, or 711Mph)

Phantom Hand stores 1cubic inch per Acu (%modified by rogue potency upgrades.)

Phantom hand can take Relics currently integrated into someone’s Build via contested Acuity Vs Focus.

Phantom Hand can not go through people or release stored items inside them.

Dimensional Oyster upgrade to Dimensional Storage shrinking effect = 1/(acu/50)(this is expressed as the % remaining after shrinking, not the % reduction. For percent reduction, subtract result from 100%) Has no effect below 51 Acu.

SOURDOUGH NOTES

Sourdough reserves an additional 1% of the item in question per 10 focus.
baseline is 20% retained, 30 days to recover 80%.  (80/30)…  2 and 2/3 percent recovered per day.  Speed of recovery is not scaled by stat, only the amount retained.

ASPECT of the IMMORTAL SERPENT NOTES:

The ‘footing’ effect can extend 1 inch per 3 resistance, either pulling ground out to create a pillar, hand/foothold, or solidifying an unstable surface. On an unstable surface, this is the radius of the effect, creating a solid hemisphere. If the mass of the material composing the stabilized hemisphere is greater than Will’s, he can walk on it.

Side note: Air weighs .0807lbs per square foot.

Ch. 120 Current range = 51.2 inches
Current hemisphere = 162.675 Cu ft, or 13 lbs of air. Can NOT WALK ON AIR...yet.

Phantom Hand Slots: (Ring of Accuracy*) (Sickle of Cold Harvest) (Wand of the Undead Retainer) (Stormfists) -(Dimensional Coiled Serpent Amulet)-

Primary Abilities: Aspect of the Immortal Serpent*, Phantom Hand**

Secondary Abilities: Sourdough*

Tertiary Abilities: Phantom Eye

Note* Will spent 1 in Str, 3 in Res, and the rest have gone to Acu.

Active Item Abilities:

Coiled Strike: 5 charges, teleport up to 14 feet in any direction, damage output is increased by 420% for 1 second. Applies *Psychic Venom.

Coiled lightning: 5 Charges, Eidolons controlled by the User gain a short-range electric aura which may paralyze enemies. Duration and potency scale with Resistance.

Class Abilities:

Phantom Hand*** (3 of 9) Upgrades

Passive

Active: 1 charge.

Gain the use of an ethereal Phantom Hand. Access a tiny amount of dimensional storage with a Charge. Sacrifice a stored Relic to apply its effect to one of five slots. Only one slot can be active at a time. Switching to another slot causes the previous one to be inactive for 24 hours, and overwriting a slot causes the slot to be inactive for a week.

Shrinks items inside the Dimensional Storage to maximize space. This shrinking effect does not alter the limitations on items that can fit inside before they are shrunk.

Aspect of the Immortal Serpent: ** (2 of 6) Upgrades

A collection of passives that focus on mobility and hardiness. The bearer of this Ability becomes more resistant to exposure and altitude. Their digestive systems become able to process food unfit for human consumption, and their hands and feet always find safe purchase on even the most hostile terrain. User will heal more completely. Scars and damage, both external and internal will fade away over time. Not even a complete removal of a limb or organ will prevent this healing, provided the user is not dead. Scales with Resistance.

(Sourdough)*** (3 of 3) Ability is complete. Active: 1 Charge.

The user may gain the full effect of a Consumable Relic only using 80% of the relic. The remaining 20% may be reserved to ferment a new Consumable Relic if provided powdered Relic dust, time, and additional Charges. Scales with Focus.

Damaged (but not destroyed) permanent Relics can now be targeted with a charge of Sourdough, which will cause them to passively absorb Relic Dust to gradually repair themselves for one month. Speed scales with Focus.

For an additional 5 Charge, Relics absorb affixes from the Relic dust they are submerged in, with a tendency to average rather than add. Scales towards addition with Resistance. Can only be performed once per Relic.

Phantom Eye (Tertiary, no upgrading)

Active: 1 Charge Summon a Phantom Eye for (Acuity) Seconds. The Eye is invisible, goatlike, moves at the same speed as Phantom Hand, and has depth perception.

Family Gathering Set Bonuses:

Aspect of the Immortal Serpent’s passive bonuses apply to eidolons created by the user. Phantom Hand can interact with the physical world at will. (2 items)

Phantom Hand loses its hand form, which is replaced by 5 autonomous phantom snakes. These snakes can be fully controlled by the user at will, and have all the effects of Phantom Hand. Each Snake has its own Dimensional Storage, but only 1 can actively provide a Relic’s effect at a time.

Each individual snake can absorb one wound at will, or a lethal wound automatically, carrying the wound until it is healed, or the eidolon is destroyed, returning the wound to the user in whatever state of repair it was when the eidolon dissipated. (4 items)

Aspect of The Immortal Serpent’s Potency is boosted by 5000% (6 Items)

What were the two sacrifices to aspect of immortal serpent? I thought it was just the axolotl since the immortal serpent was a qualitative upgrade and didn’t take up a slot

It would be even higher bc the distance is actually the radius not diameter so the mass of stabilised air would be 1 726 338 lbs which could support more than 10 2 story houses(excluding the foundation) if will could carry it

Right - I’m not multiplying by 5000. 51.2 inches (assuming diameter, not radius) * 50 is 2560. A hemisphere with a radius of half that, 1280 inches, has a volume of 4,392,264,878 cubic inches (according to omnicalculator.com, I can’t be arsed to do the math manually). Converting that to cubic feet gives us: 2,541,820 ft^3 Multiplied by the mass of air at sea level, .08072 lb/ft^3 (rounded) gives us a whopping 205,174 pounds! If the 51.2 inches is actually the diameter, that’s still number goes up quite a bit. This is all assuming we’re calculating the 5000% of the base distance, and not just 5000% of volume, which would of course be much, much lower, at 8,133.75 ft^3, and 656.6lbs. Which is very fair, and would make Will less unbelievably powerful.

Just realised that the Dimensional oyster shrinking effect formula can be simplified to just 50/acc, I believe. With the same carve out that it does not apply for acc < 51.

Also, it's been stated before iirc that his regen doesn't have a 'faster' element to it, so making his ability more effective won't improve the speed of his healing. My guess would be that is the very next item in the list, since super quick regen would turn his self-sacrificial snakes into almost-immortality for Will, if they can protect him from and then regenerate a fatal wound in a few moments.

🤓 well technically a boost of 5000% would be 51x (100% boost is 2x, 200% is 3x etc.)

5000% is 50x, not 5000x. It's still more than enough to stand on, though. I got somewhere over a thousand pounds in my calc.

So, am I just doing the math wrong, or when he gets the 6 item bonus he’ll instantly be able to walk on air? 5000% x current hemisphere of 51ish inches - if we take that as diameter, that’s still over 2500 inches which gives us a ludicrous volume of over 4 BILLION inches, far, far in excess of the required volume to displace his weight. That’s something in the realm of 177 thousand pounds - just from quick maths with rounded numbers.

I like how you track how close he is to walking on air. …. When can he fall in style/safely glide on air to land from being pushed off of the too of something really tall?

since the other 4 items have largely become obsolete, several of them now have the opportunity to be replaced with better stuff for niche situations.

I just realized a flaw in your story. Your mage hand's stored item ability is basically ruined because he absorbed a set item into his mage hand. Will will never be able to use any of his other items stored in his mage hand without losing the 6 item set... unless he somehow somehow retains the set bonuses even if he switches from one stored item to the other.

I don’t think so, since the fingers aren’t “hurt” per se, rather, the swapping time of 24hrs seems to be more of a cooldown based ability.

Yeah, I was wondering the same. At lvl 10 ot kinda seemed to say he would gain one every 10 lvl, and the priest guy who's with them had 2 secondaries at lvl 35 if I remember correctly.

It's 5000%, so 51 times improvement. But it won't improve speed of healing because aspect of immortal serpent doesn't affect healing speed. Just healing completeness.

waitwaitWAIT Immortal Serpent applying to phantom hand doesn’t just mean he gets to do earthbending tricks, it means the fingers regenerate faster, doesn’t it? Hell yeah, more rapid swapping! I was worried that he’d be locked into using the Dimensional Amulet because it’s so much better, but if it recovers faster that isn’t as much of an issue!

Math needed, my brain is not built for math. A lizards tail grows back in about a month. An arm is a bit bigger than a tail. So maybe 3 months? And then add stats for superhuman healing so more like 6 weeks. Then 5000 times faster than that. I wish I could do the math.

Does a regrown consumable relic count as a different relic? Could relic dust be used to improve a consumable, then once that consumable used and regrown, could it be improved again?

Regarding the "Can't walk on air yet" thing, I think he might be able to slightly double-jump right now, if Will can push off a 13lbs mass of air, and he weighs like 180lbs, he's going to get 7% of the speed he imparts to the 13lbs mass of air in the opposite direction. Quick physics calculation: if he pushes the 13lbs air with a speed of 50mph, he's getting 7% of that in the opposite direction. And if he does this about 6 times per second, that's enough to counter gravity entirely. So Basically: Will can float by just jumping quickly.
