ISM 4 Cover
Added 2024-10-14 18:43:20 +0000 UTCI need ideas for a cover for Industrial Strength Magic 4. My editor is about halfway done with the first run-through and I realized I need to get started with the cover.
I only have two ideas right now, one is a dynamic image of Prof. Replica and Solaris fighting high above the earth, while the other is a picture of Perry getting bothered by the twins, who are tugging on his clothes/hair.
One is epic, one is cozy, which doesn't really fit the severity of the book.
Do you guys have any ideas for a cover layout?

2024-11-09 01:05:35 +0000 UTCGo with your epic cover idea. Anybody reading til book 4 will want to see a Solaris / Replica showdown. The cozy cover doesn't represent the book as well (as you said). There's a lot of other epic moments in book 4, but Solaris vs. Replica is both well foreshadowed/hyped and unique to book 4. It's a good choice.

2024-10-14 20:34:17 +0000 UTCOne of the more memorable scenes was Chemestro figuring out how to make himself permeable to The Tide at the exact moment before it was needed to prevent Mimic-Solaris from killing him. Not sure if it's cover worthy, but I'd still like to bring it up as it's the first scene from Book 4 that comes to mind, which can be good information to help answer this sort of question.
