March MILFS - A Nervous Wait

For the last year, they have been doing the National Lottery. The same numbers each week.
Never won a thing.
Tonight is a huge rollover with Millions up for grabs.
Like every week, Emily reads with the TV on in the background.
But still listening to the numbers being called out.
The first number is hers, then the second, the third.....
Now, she is gripped. They have never had 3 numbers before come up.
At least this time, they would have won something
It continues.
Five minutes later, she thinks she must be dreaming.
Did each of her numbers get called out...she thinks they did.
She looks at the numbers on the television screen.
She screams
"OH MY GOD !!!"
She leaps to her feet
She screams again, jumping up and down.
She wakes the kids, they start to cry.
She virtually floats up the stairs to comfort them.
"Why were you screaming mummy?"
She thinks of what to say.
But THEN
She is hit with a sudden onset of dread.
She recalls the conversation she had with her husband earlier.
About how they have never won anything.
And how HE thinks it's a waste of money.
She kisses her kids and goes downstairs to call her husband.
She calls, no answer. Rings again, no answer.
All the excitement she felt. The happiness. The relief.
Now replaced with anxiety and stress.
What if he didn't do the lottery at all
Now all Emily can do is wait for her husband to come home.
And hope.
