We're gonna need a cover
Added 2022-06-02 04:16:13 +0000 UTCSo, eventually this series is gonna hit RR and possibly Amazon after that. I'd like to have one in the pipeline from my cover guy by the end of June, if possible. Here's what I've got so far:
I'd like to condense and dramaticise his first fight with the prawn and make it into a cover.
So the first image here is the general concept of the pose. a sort of 'bring it' feeling. Forget the clothes and weapons, just the pose.

I was cruising through power armors when I saw the Hellcat armor from Fallout 76 and thought "yeah, something like that could work."
This armor needs to have a large section of it torn away where the prawn got a hold of him, revealing Perry's abs and wound (much to Hardcase's enjoyment)

I really liked the pitted look of this blade. gave it a grungy feel I liked. Paradox will have an array of faintly glowing obviously magical blades behind him. Maybe in front too?

The armor will of course be made of cardboard and the torn away pieces will make that abundantly clear.

Background might have fleeing civilians.
What do you think? Does it need any more? Is it a terrible Idea? Let me know, and link to images as examples if necessary. A picture (especially one with notes) are worth thousands of words.
If you mention that he didn't actually have swords, but instead had highly practical little nubs with blades on them about the size of a finger, you get a cookie, but it's not gonna look cool on a cover.
I want something on his arm, but Idunno what. I was considering some kind of metallic magical whip? Idunno. A cosmic mist of some glowy...stuff?
Arm spell-frame suggestions welcome.
As are comments telling me I'm wasting my time =)
