Made It to New Mexico!

So I'm here... 36 hours of desperate packing, running around to make sure we hit the terminal at the right time to make 3 separate flights while carrying a cat with us the entire way.

Finally made it to NM.

got here yesterday afternoon, was amazed by the fact that the sun had any heat in it at all, greeted our extended family, squared away the anti-social cat, laid down on the couch and didn't move again for about fifteen hours.

As for how this will affect the writing: Unfortunately we're not completely done yet. We still have to move out the previous tennants (my sister's) stuff and receive my stuff, then unpack our stuff and get that stuff put where it needs to go.

Lots of stuff.

I expect writing will continue to be slow until next month, probably the first week or so.

After that, I expect the update speed will return to pre-move speeds or higher, seeing as there isn't much to interrupt us here (hopefully). We'll be settled and unlikely to want to move again for a couple years at least.

My other nephew, who I just met yesterday, is really cute. He is more outspoken than my younger nephew. He says 'Ha me' (help me) over and over again when he gets things stuck in places and cant get them out, which is adorable.

He also says it when he has coronavirus and feels awful, which is gut-wrenching to imagine.

TLDR: Still alive. Expect writing to speed up Feb.

All that being said, I can probably sneak away from the packing to try and finish a chapter or two before the end of the month now that I don't have a hard schedule.

Let's see how we feel about moving to the desert when summer comes.
