She remembers clearly as a child watching television with her father on November 4 2008 and the emotion she witnessed. She saw her father cry, she had seen that before, several times since her mother passed away. This time it was different, this time he was also laughing and smiling, he was crying tears of joy.
She loved seeing him like that.
Her father explained to her the significance of what had happened and she felt proud and knew for the first time that anything was possible. She wondered if she could one day achieve the same heights.
It was as if the newly elected President was speaking to her when he spoke the words
"Yes We Can "
She is running for the House of Representatives in 2024
She Hopes that this will start her on a path to The Oval Office.
Her father will be standing by her all the way
Crying tears of joy.
