Added 2019-08-21 18:02:00 +0000 UTC1. Constant nuclear fission. Tiny, self-contained area of ridiculous heat where everything is constantly treading the line between matter and energy. I could see this, when properly harnessed, to provide matter or energy of whatever kind desired...or you know, just toss it at someone and watch them melt.
2. fnord. everything inside the effect of the crystal becomes psychologically uncomfortable to process, and therefor quickly dismissed.
3.Mistaken identity/roofie : creatures inside the effect have extremely dulled sense of self, are very suggestible, and tend to believe they are someone else in the room, because they can see them.
4. Concepts gain physical bodies: Would be used to allow a god to descend through an apostle in a temporary body.
5. Center of mass is no longer fixed. you can put your center of mass outside your body in any direction you choose. ever seen one of those punch clowns with the weight in the bottom? like that, but worse.
6. The practice effect. Stolen from The Practice Effect by David Brin. (decent sci-fi) Any object that is used by a sapient creature becomes better at fulfilling the purpose it was used for. I.E. sitting in a chair makes it a better, more comfortable chair, while using it to club someone to death will make it more balanced, with a better grip on the feet.
