AFK Post (Idea Garage Sale)

Go ahead and leave ideas for where you think the story is going, If yours is better than mine, I'll say it was mine all along, and that you guessed right.
I'm thinking about steering the story into more of a wartime direction, with the inquisition and jazz, but I realize I also need to include buffalo soldiers and some kind of tiny flourecent dream-walking hummingbird. and Snek and bat people.
Oftentimes hearing back from you guys on where you think the story is going can kick-start my creativity, and I'm not above copying a good idea.
So if you have any idea how to incorporate any of those things or the general tilt of the story as a whole, feel free to comment.
