Core Mech suits?

I just realized that with the Core taxing the rare mineral trade so heavily, across literally trillions of worlds, they would have the stuff coming out of their ears.

I was thinking of ways for them to use it all, and... would you like Garth to fight against magical mech suits made out of adamantium and mithril sometime in the future?

This would be an elite punitive force sent by the Inner cores in the distant future.

WAAAY in the future.

In any case, I don't intend to turn this into a mechwarrior thing. Garth is not going to spend the rest of the story after that point in a mech, because to hell with that.

I’d be more on with super advanced golems but mechsuits just seem redundant once you have strong enough powers

Also, this mech would have to be superior to all other forms of enchantments you can create with a M. Core. Cause otherwise it would be like someone asking daddy to spend his gold on a bike instead of a Spaceship.

But if they make it for a Rank 10 Body Refiner and it boosts them up to Rank 11, and they power it through their Lantern?

Seadrake

Unless a mecha's material can upgrade same as the skin/bones/blood of a Body Refiner I see no point. The basic use of a Machine is to do something better than a human. However, if you can pump yourself full of Heartstone Refined Rank 7, 8, 9, etc power and a Mech cannot....there's no contest. Also, Divine Lantern Style would obliterate any Mech that requires enchantment/mana to use, unless said mechanoid could counter being in a no-mana zone.

That's... awesome and terrifying.

Or at the center of the core is the mother of all Kipling Super Dungeon and the central government has to sacrifice matter to it to keep it from eating their world. Central keeps adding layers in order to feed the ever hungrier core.

Seadrake

That's a silly idea, but fun!

The biggest impediment to being a mechwarrior is the sheer quantity of rare materials required to make them. Garth would need to have control over several planets at minimum to make ONE. And a fighter with reinforcement evolution would be a better mech warrior than him. That and at some point I hope he would be able to beat them with his spells.

I can't remember where I found it but I once read a story online that was based on a D&D world with all the mechanics being real and the people in the world being able to 'cheat' with the rules. This ended up with everyone on the main plane of existence being uber powerful. Because of this they had to make everything out of stuff like Mithril and such or they would accidentally break all their stuff. Maybe the very core is a gathering place for people who just moving around would literally break the world elsewhere. Thus they replaced all the normal materials with the fancy stuff just so things don't go boom. Not that I am against mechs. Though maybe you should go with Zoids? I always like the fact they where 'living' creatures themselves.

Also Death Stars or an Intersphere Reaction Station. I mean after all these years the core government hasn't completely bent over for the clans. They probably have a solution on standby when a large clan tries to withhold taxes. makes sense why they wouldn't want anybody having space tech.

Why wouldn't he spend the rest of the series in a mech sending in cloned hivemind bodies in individual mechs? It's completely reasonable that the advantages of this would be so great as to require Garth to do the same back to compete. I am sure Ethipia wishes they didn't need to have their warriors fight from f-16s to defend themselves but it's what you have to have to compete.
