Geissele Buffer kit
Added 2024-03-12 15:48:38 +0000 UTCFigured I'd write about this as its one of my favorite upgrades to the stoner platform. When running a gun hard or over long periods of time reliability becomes and issue. The spring kit from geissele addresses this.
With higher tension the spring keeps the bolt locked for a little bit longer allowing more gas down the barrel and returns harder allowing for the gun to keep running with out hiccups. I find it also makes the gun softer shooting and removes the twang springs have. Further, it locks the bolt easily and has what seems like a near infinite life. I have run one for 20k rounds with no issues and after moving to a new primary set up without it, a shorty with a can, the gun had some return to battery issues that needed a love tap from the love tap button to get the bolt to seat. This was after 400rds all suppressed and is an issue I never experienced on the other set up despite this one having a slicker bolt carrier group. Of all longevity and performance up grades this is something id put first on the list so long as your bcg is decent.
Sum: shoots softer, more reliable, longer lasting, no twang, returns to battery everytime even with a dirty carrier and a press check
For 14.5 try the h2, for 10"-12" try the h3, for 18-20" try the h buffer weight
