Astral Path [24x48]

Hello everyone, map pack number 159

I am a dwarf, I was born to dig rocks, not to fly from one to another, like a bird flying between trees. And then how could I jump to that floating island? It must be at least forty feet!

Don't worry my friend, let me say a few magic words and soon you will see a safe path appear.

In the last few weeks I have played a lot of Baldur's Gate 3 (what a wonderful game!), one of the most evocative places in which you can travel is the Astral Plane. It seemed only right to dedicate a map to that place, especially now that Planescape has forcefully returned to the world of D&D.

In this map, rock islands swirl in astral space, a magical path unites them and allows you to cross this place. Epic encounters can happen along this path

Alternate versions have differences in layout or in atmospheric and environmental conditions.

Enjoy this map pack!

Awesome session, I'm happy my map helped bring it to life!

I've been waiting so long to use this and finally got the chance last weekend! The Maw Tea Pavilion requested help for a supplier. The party journeyed to Aster Town, a community of plasmoids on asteroids in the Astral Sea. The eccentric, bizarrely shaped town was not traversable to non-plasmoids, but the residents were friendly. Four plasmoids merged into a giant "food truck" and two warriors came with the party to help deal with some murder comets and harvest Celestial Oranges. A fierce battle ensued. Flying in the air, Agni saw something move on the underside of the asteroids, but the party's focus was on the comets. They struck one down. IT EXPLODED! Sebas was knocked out, Bartin seriously wounded. Thankfully, between Starlight and Agni, there was healing to go around. The party took more care with the other comet. As they struggled to get the best positions, terrible, tick-like monsters crawled up from the underside of the asteroids and attacked with psychic energy. Garran stood bravely and stalwartly between squishier members of his party and the enemy. One of the weird ticks blasted Garran's mind, incapacitating him, and a second one SLICED OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD AND SWALLOWED WHOLE HIS BRAIN. The plasmoids seemed confused, but rushed to help. Bartin's Cloud of Daggers made mincemeat of the enemy. The party focused their fire, taking down one and then another brain-eater. Bartin pulled Garran's brain out of the monster whole and slid it back into place while Agni and the plasmoids handled a third brain-eater underneath the asteroid. Bartin used Tremorsense to pinpoint the exact location of the enemy's legs on the asteroid underside and targeted it with his dagger cloud. The brain-eater lost its grip! It fell 405 feet to the gravity plane and there hovered, suspended in the astral sea. Garran's brain back in place, Agni cast Revivify. The day was saved. The plasmoids were very apologetic: they knew the weird tick things were underneath the asteroids, but not that they were dangerous, as the brain-seeking monstrosities never targeted the plasmoids (owing to their lack of edible brains).
