"We had been traveling for days, our only thought was to rest in an inn over a nice plate of stew. The city was huge and the large bridge at the entrance was full of life, a swarm of people shopping in that noisy market. We were hungry, it's true, but why not stop for a few minutes, there could be great deals for us"
This map is inspired by the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence, I have been there several times and it is always fascinating.
I wanted to go back to drawing an urban map but I wanted something different, so I thought that putting houses on a bridge was the best solution; this way there are no side escape routes, and the gates to the north and south can be great ways to ... get trapped!
Interesting strategic situations can evolve in a map like this, only apparently simple.
There are not many additional variants, I have created those that provide for the absence of the southern gates or the market, but for all of them there is also the night version, which is always very useful in urban meetings.
For a total of 10 different maps, also suitable for several different sessions.
