The stories of our system being a microquasar are of course greatly exaggerated and you'll find a hospitable paradise once your ship has sailed passed the high-tech orbital defence system and evaded the various surface-to-air missiles.
Erigone is covered in lush jungles and vast oceans. Several small settlements can be found in the forests and at the shores, populated by Erigone's industrious inhabitants, the Acarhyn - the entire unenslaved portion being female, incidentally.
Visitors of Erigone should also visit one of the planet's major landmarks, the Citadel. Situated high in the mountains and surrounded by picturesque wreckage of various crashed space-ships, the well-fortified Citadel functions as the seat of the government of the Acarhyn.
The Erigone Tourism Board hopes you'll consider Erigone as your next destination, so you can see for yourself what our beautiful planet has to offer.

Not at the moment, no. It might detract too much from the game and lead to all kinds of speculation about a shared universe I'd like to avoid.
