ALPHA BUILD READY

Alright everyone ! the Private alpha version of ProjectReach is now available for you to play and mess around with, 

so a couple notes on that to get those up to speed  who havent been following;


- ProjectReach is a temp name for a casual lewd multiplayer FPS game ive been working on.


- This is a very very early build , as going forward ill be completely changing the visuals and the general feel of the game


- There is a server browser so finding matches should be straight forward in release.


- This game will be free and on steam, my intentions are to just make a horny fun goofy shooter to hop on with your friends from time to time , and add goofy things like crazy modifiers for dmg, movement and health and weird properties to bullets, vehicles, very Halo esc kind of things to set up for your lobby


- There will be continual updates to the current build of the game 


- Game updates will share space with the rest of the content that i do , as in some months might be Animation/3danimation, next illustration, or game dev, or a combination of them depending on how im feeling . tldr if there isnt an animation for X month its probably because i spent it doodling and doing gamedev or modeling

NOTES ABOUT RUNNING THE GAME  


- IT MAY NOT EVEN RUN, im expecting it to be buggy, there will be bugs, some folks may not be able to run it , its all part of the process , if anyone has any issues like that ive set up a channel game-feedback for that general thing. dont be shy from using it or speaking your mind, I want the game to work as best as i can make it , but of course im just one dude. so bear that in mind.


- YOU MAY HAVE TO RELAUNCH , the first launch sometimes initializes it with steam , so you may be unable to connect to any lobbies until you relaunch it again


-YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO STEAM, you dont need to be visible or anything , but steam must be open , this is a steam  game.


-when playing you will appear to be playing "SpaceWar" you might recognize the name , that is the default IP for any steam registered game not yet released on steam, specifically for Steam networking and other online related steam function testing


-DO NOT CONNECT TO ANY LOBBY THAT YOU DONT ALREADY KNOW EXISTS. going with my previous statement , space war is 1 server, so everyone elses game dev lobbies will pop up in the list, but if you try to connect to them , the game will crash , or it simply wont work for obvious reasons. 


-Mouse Aim  Down Sights may be unbound, you can go into the pause menu (esc) , and rebind  it there,

NOTES FOR PLAYING

- f1 to hide debug

- f3 to kill self if youre stuck somewhere

- SHIFT =  dash (speed can be chained into a jump)

- space = jump (there is a double jump)

- there is controller support but I have not implemented any aim assist yet

 - you can adjust  FOV , sensitivities, and deadzones in the options+ controls menu

did you have steam open and online , and did you relaunch game.

Not sure what is wrong but I cant connect to lobbies and there is a message that pops up reading "Must set the Network Address field in the manager'
