Tea, page 1 (WIP Update)

I realize this looks similar to the tea scene from the Remembrances episode, and that's kind of intentional. I got the idea that Remembrances wasn't a one-off, and Asami always brings Korra her favorite tea to cheer her up whenever she's feeling down. I've also been wanting to draw a more emotional Korra for a while so I could practice different expressions than what I usually do, and this is the scene that just kept popping back into my head.
I didn't want it to look too similar to Remembrances, though, so I decided to set it during night time instead of sunset. I also played things pretty loose with the layout of Air Temple Island here. I studied a bunch of screenshots to figure out where everything is supposed to be, but eventually came to the conclusion that the layout seems to change according to whatever the show needed for a given scene, so I decided to do the same and just place things wherever I needed them to make the panels look good. 🤣
Normally I try not to draw such heavily detailed backgrounds in every single panel, but I really wanted to push those autumn vibes with this comic, so I went the extra step this time. Don't get used to it! 😉
