Dev Log : PHG News



Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well. 

January was a wild and crazy month for Persona H, since I made a large pivot at the beginning of this year and have also had other commitments to side gigs. 

I can't thank you all enough for being so understanding about letting me change direction in Persona H, and I"m glad to see so many of you still playing the regular game.

Work on PHG has been interesting for sure, as you amy know I have recently discovered a new artstyle that I have taken a liking to. The "Thin Outline" concept I am using is a lot better and shows off my work more clearly, after playing around with it in SIE, I was convinced to use this in PHG.

Now as I work in the new engine, I have these larger, more detailed sprites looking back at me. It makes me happy to see that progress. Speaking of progress, I will be posting in the next few days about my progress in general as an indie dev on here, so if you are interested in that talk then look at for another dev log soon.

If you have been on the discord, you may be aware of the new "Spinner Game" concept I have talked about. This is a direction I am thinking of taking Persona H Golden for the time being. It shifts the focus of the game to more of a gameplay focus and less of a storyline focus.

It's a test in progress, and I'm still ironing out the kinks, but so far the results have been really fun. I am excited to show off more to you when I get there.

I am considering a new model for Persona H Golden as well. I don't want to talk specifics on it too much yet since I haven't compltely made up my mind. Since this is Patreon though, I want to point out that Patrons at the $3 tier or higher have access to all the games I publish on itch and eventually steam if applicable. If you are looking to play Persona H Golden and you are a $3 tier or higher Patron, you should have been given a link from me to download the games. This is of couse once I start uploading Persona H Golden to itch.

Great segway!  I still don't have a hard date/time set yet on the first early release, but I'm working on it! I don't want to release it until I have something of worth for you all to play. My goal is to release the Early Access version of the game first, then a little bit later I will release the public versions.
