"Tasty, yes!"
Hey folks, I decided to color a bunch of my favorite recent sketches. Last week or so, I had been busy with Cassiopeia and a few other projects, so I needed a couple of "quick" things to do, and finishing up good sketches is fun for me.
For this drawing, I've decided to make use of a feature in Clip Studio that I have underutilized. You can make a little window dedicated to painting a palette, which is a more natural way of organizing and selecting colors. I tried it before, but I treated it like a "real" palette and mixed colors on it traditionally. Instead, what I did this time was I used it to make a thumbnail-sized "painting" so I could figure out what the image should look like. I found a reference image of a shark breaching the water, painted a cruddy little version of it that had the right colors, then applied it to our shark girl here.
I think her name might be "Meg" but I'm open to suggestions.
