It's clearly not poison lol! I wonder if someone ended up giving Kabsal the poison without him know or someone was forcing him to do it. Kal really has to realize he has something thats helping him, but the crew made some good progress. Really want to see what's going on with Shallan. Thanks for reading! He believes he is cursed, so no amount of 'but you have a magical spren' talk is going to suck him out of that spiral of negative emotion he has whenever he thinks about his own inferiority. It doesn't matter that he is amazing with a spear, it doesn't matter that he has super powers. I think it is actually a good encapsulation of Kaladins specific manifestation of both clinical long-term depression, and short term depression/ptsd brought on by his environment.
