Friday the 13th (horror pic)

Kinda had one of the classic Friday the 13th movies on to celebrate the occasion. They're still pretty fun! Well... some of them are. About half of them are unfortunately very boring. And that's before we even talk about the terrible 2009 remake. What a joyless unoriginal experience that was.

The classic movies can be pretty campy while occasionally providing some real horror thrills. Jason's a surprisingly endearing monster too. Well... as far as slasher horror monsters go anyway. He's a tiny bit Frankenstein's Monster combined with a pretty tragic backstory.

This particular iteration, is based on Kotobukiya's line of "bishoujo horror statues." It's kind of weird so lemme explain. Kotobukiya is a Japanese company well known for their movie replicas and cute anime statues. They have a lot of licenses with western properties, and a good reputation among film and anime buffs who like these sorta figurines. So for a time, they developed some sexy anime characters based on classic horror movie icons. It's all in good slasher flick fun. I didn't mind giving "Jason" here a more serious look, though.
