A Queen ready to bear a kingdom's burdens
Added 2022-04-23 02:04:50 +0000 UTCOkay, so I've been really enjoying this show "Ranking of Kings." It's probably the best new anime of the year and it's surprising just how deep it goes. If you describe it as the story of a young prince, born deaf and mute, tries his hardest to become the greatest king, it might sound extremely saccharine. And it is that at times, and it's really good at hitting those heart melting beats. But it's also a surprisingly nuanced and complex kingdom drama. The twists are genuinely smart and clever, and every character shows a lot of strength.
Course... in the running for my favorite is Queen Hilling who shows some surprising literal strength... of character.
