Tifa, where'd you get that outfit?

"Colette isn't using it at the moment..."

I think Colette's design owes a lot to Tifa Lockheart. While Colette never went with the skirt the way Tifa did, a lot of the way she looks is definitely inspired by how Tifa's one of my favorite characters from videogames. It helps that Tifa is kinda a sweet cinnamon roll that can kick your ass. She did end up in a surprising controversy this week, which sorta made a lot of people pay attention to her though.

Anyway, I think you might've noticed but I've been trying a new method of coloring and painting in sketches. I've been doing it with the Cass/Conner piece from earlier this week and I thought the result was super successful. But more importantly, it was also pretty quick and easy to manage. It builds on a lot of techniques I used in the past, but also allows me to be more painterly and quick.

Here's hoping it'll work on even more pieces in the future.
