Reagan's getting to work...
Added 2021-11-20 11:01:01 +0000 UTCI'd been wanting to do fan art for the new Netflix show Inside Job for a little while now. Revisiting the series for a bit, definitely kicked off this drawing. I like the character Reagan Ridley a lot, you might say I like her more than I like the show. But the show's still pretty fun. Though I'm just here for the grumpy mad scientist.
Nothing too particular to say about the process behind this. The pistol is kinda based on some parts of guns I remember from other guns and the little foregrip just seemed the kinda "tactical" thing that fit Ridley in this moment. The box at the top is probably some sorta laser sight.

2021-11-21 18:06:09 +0000 UTCHey thanks! Yeah I was thinking about a gun that just spits a lot of bullets really quickly. I remembered the foregrip and the extended barrel from a very old oc, who had a similar weapon so I just brought those details here. I don’t believe Reagan ever uses conventional firearms in the show but the laser gun she jury rigs out of parts in the first episode, reminded me of that old full auto pistol I put together for the older oc.

2021-11-20 20:31:50 +0000 UTCI'm going to get a little gun nerdy here. Bear in mind this is just commentary, and in no way condoning people waving such things around day to day. Professionals only, folks! The gun you drew is pretty accurate, even if by accident. What you've done here is taken a semiauto pistol that's been full-auto converted. When these conversions are done (should not be done or handled by general populace) the barrel gets extended a bit past normal and a small flip down foregrip is added to help handle the weapon. These things are unreliable and made just to spit a lot of small rounds from an extended magazine. Laser sights can run a risk of your target figuring out your position, so preferably it's better to use a glowing nightsight or a fiber optic or holographic sight so that only you can see the red or green dot. These sights are mounted on top, whereas actual lasers are mounted on the bottom or side. Congratulations! Reagan has a proper "tactical tantrum" gun in hand, which perfectly fits her character for when she'd finally decide to "start blasting".
