Safety For Work! WiP Pages

Rough pages! I wish I did more of these, cause it's good to make sure that I can still write and design a page. This is actually my favorite part of the process. It's more visual than writing the plot or the script on their own. And it's not as tiring as rendering or inking. It's just the sheer act of creation, and making a story start coming to life. To me, before an illustration has a sequence, it isn't quite as alive as it can be.

For me, I think if our Warehouse Girl were just a series of images, then I think she isn't quite as dynamic or interesting. If we get in her head a little bit, and see how she interacts with the robots, then she's a lot more fun and we can root for her. Or at least feel for her when she gets all boxed up...

Another note about Safety For Work, is I think the story should be just long enough that we understand what's going on but not TOO long that it starts requiring scrutiny. I think if you start trying to rationalize everything about it or making the plot super detailed, then every detail you add can be challenged as not being realistic or believable. And in a story like this, being realistic or believable can actually be a detriment.
