Okay, I'll concede this might not be safe...

I'm imagining that the plastic here is a permeable membrane that was just heated to shrink and get close to her body, instead of being vacuum sealed down. Vacuum sealing someone for a kink setup requires a special apparatus for safe breathing, which is kinda tricky coming up with a reason for one in this setting.

Still though, what I really wanted to do with this drawing was to experiment with materials again. I love trying to replicate the way different materials shine under bright lighting conditions. And something like shrink wrap plastic was an interesting challenge.

Okay, I'll concede this might not be safe...

Of course, if she's "kitted out" then logically a knife would be part of that and she'd just cut herself free. But perhaps safety standards don't allow carrying sharp objects... (though I'd expect such standards to also disallow an oxygen tank, a flammable hazard.)

Considering how often she finds herself in predicaments, I expect she'd be outfitted with stuff necessary for surviving them (whether provided by the company or purchased herself.) One such thing would be a small oxygen tank, just an hour or two of breathable air for when it runs out; in this kind of situation I can see her being able to put it on.

Just toss some "organic" and "produce" labels on the membrane - many produce shipments need some amount of air contact to prevent anaerobic bacterial and fungal growth.

Here's the trick...make this membrane a special new type of packing material made to keep things from jostling around inside a package. Just like you mentioned, its not plastic shrink wrap per se, but something space-age-y that sort of behaves like it but permeable and breath-through. It can even have its own set of physics rules, like when wrapped in it there is some give, but the more you push against it the more it resists you, being that its made to safeguard items in boxes by way of inertia. Our heroine then has to stay calm and still, because the real risk isn't suffocation, its exhaustion from trying to move while that material is pulling on you more and more. That would have a psychological bondage effect, as it would be "behavior reinforcing" as much as it is physically binding.

Warehouse girl makes me think of a bumber sticker I once saw: "Safety is my goal. But let's be realistic here..."
